Not only do I not have any sound, but a volume slider doesn't even appear on the volume mixer for this game. It's as if it isn't even trying to use the windows audio service or whatever its called.

Have any of you submitted support tickets? I'm gonna go ahead and hope it does something, but also wondering what OS everyone is using. The other thread mentioning the problem everyone is on Win 7 or 8, so I want to see if that might be part of the issue.
I'd also like to add how disappointing this is simply because this is the first game in over a decade that I actually pre-ordered and watched that countdown for a month! I finally start it up for the first time, humming the Z8MN theme only to find that's as close as I'll get to actually hearing it... :(
