This is not a high priority question - but is there any particular reason why the "Rasta" soundbank is missing? It was my favourite back in the day.

Does anyone else notice any other old soundbanks missing too?

Regards,

Gryfon

BTW I realise I spelt "SoundBank" incorrectly in the subject, but you can't edit the subject of a line once it's posted.

I may dig up my WWP CD-ROM and hunt the missing ones down - perhaps I can manually add them back in.

Not sure if I'll bother playing at all until the "Worm hits the water and freezes the game" bug is zapped.
IIRC worms hit the water a LOT during the average game.

Back in the day I bought copies of WWP for my friends and family and we used to play online all the time. I was hoping if all went well to do the same with the Remastered version and capture some of that old fun back.

I compared the videos on Youtube with C:\GOG Games\Worms World Party Remastered\data\Speech
Where are the remastered sounds BTW?

I think it should be easy to do, if all files can be placed freely in folder. Unfortunately I won't be able to help : I don't have this game on disc : that's why I bought it here :/

Yep. In my case, I'll wait for an update. That's sad because I was very happy to see the game out !

I noticed a "Remastered Sounds" toggle-box on the "Options" screen. It's below a new "Wait for Vertical Sync" toggle box. I tried unchecking it to see if the list of soundbanks changed, but it didn't appear to.

Good question... I will try to take a look too. (btw, I appreciate the option "disable remastered sounds")

For me it worked without trouble.

Yes me too, I was very happy to see WWP out again. It just isn't the same if I can't use my favourite soundbank though - it's not in Worms Revolution either, but I don't really like that version at all.
Kamikaze: Worms 2 (GOG) and Worms Armageddon (Steam).

The problem for me is : why take out some soundbanks who were on the original game ? Especially when the game is supposed to be "almost the same only remastered" ? That is really disappointing me :/

Yes precisely. It makes sense to enhance and add to the game, but no sense at all to remove original content like soundbanks.

Ah well. Perhaps I'll get my "old man" hat on and write a letter to Martyn Brown at Team 17 to complain - I'll surprise him with some snail-mail :-)

It would be a good idea ! If you do that, keep us informed ;)

Maybe should we ask for the missing soundbanks to be added back if possible ? (but...honnestly... would there be any reasons it won't ? )

German dialects would be awesome, too. Anyway..."Worms" are the best.

I've just checked my WWP CD and these are missing:

- Jock
- Kamikaze
- Polish (the actual Polish in Remastered was also called Polish in Armageddon, but in original WWP it was called Polish-2)
- Rasta
- Team 17 Test
- The Raj
- Whoopsie
