Something literally just started happening on my last opening of Wizards & Warriors. I was trundling along in the forest outside of Valeia, using the right mouse movement feature looking around. When suddenly, the camera went haywire flipping 180 degrees rapidly forward and backward. I let go of the mouse button and it stopped. When I attempted to look along the x-axis after this I could not, y-axis look worked fine but not x-axis. It wasn't until I was attacked by a monster, clicked on it, and the camera shifted on the x-axis before it corrected itself. I played all morning with no issue, and I have been playing off and on since the friday before last, I believe and I haven't seen this before. Anyone else have this occur? Is it a bug? A feature? Something I'm enabling by hitting a key on the keyboard or something? Any advice would be appreciated. I checked the keybinds and there is a key for toggling look associated with the Tab key, but when pressing that nothing happens? Again, I'm at a loss, so if anyone knows, be it not me or quite probably something I'm doing, please let me know?

Thank you,

Nate
I think I had similar problem in World of Warcraft but then I replaced my mouse and never had the same issue.

Lol! I wish it was just the mouse, then it would be easy to solve. The mouse works fine. If I am not attempting to look around the mouse moves around the screen fine. I guess I should also mention that trying to turn along the x-axis on the number pad doesn't work either.
Never had this issue, so just throwing possibilities:

In Game options there's X Axis Action and Y Axis Action. I have them both on "Look", then use left & right mouse to move around. Are they set this way on yours?

If left-clicking to attack a monster, the camera will always move to try and face it. Were you at an odd angle?

Numpad 5 resets the view angle instantly (not just x) by default. I guess this could counteract the issue, but it sounds a bit annoying to have to do that over and over.

Hope you can solve it!

In the Game option screen the X Axis and Y Axis are set to look. The strange thing is when the issue arises, not only is x axis movement not functioning, but also the numeric pad X axis movement. It's like the game just locks the camera and you can look up and down, and you can strafe left and right, but you can't look left or right. Until you get attacked. Then when you click on an enemy, the camera re-centers and then you can look left and right again. I'm sure the next time I stream it will do it. I will see if I can get someone to clip it. and I will share a link so others can see it. Maybe it can be figured out.
I have the exact same problem. Cannot turn my view with my mouse, in-game movement buttons, or the keyboard. Only forward, backpedal, strafe left, and strafe right work.

i just had the same thing happened and came here. Had to use a burn spell on a roach and then it freed itself up like a previous poster said.
Same issue, definitely a bug of some sort. Never had it happen until recently & I've racked up 600 hours previously just in the GoG version.
You don't have to attack something you just have to target it so the game will turn your party for you and that will unlock turning again (until the next time it happens). Works with enemies/roachs/rats/birds/butterflies/fish, does not work with objects you drop on the ground from your inventory, I have not yet been in a position where I can test if targetting an NPC to talk to them will break you out of the lock.
