You should be able to just hit Enter and keep going. (Exception: the German language version apparently doesn't allow this.)

Games from that period usually asked you to look something up in the manual as copy protection. While the popup mechanism itself can't easily be removed from those games, the no-DRM fix generally causes them to accept any answer (including a blank one) as valid.
