Doesn't look like this is the big balance patch that was talked of earlier. Is that coming out later?

I think so that was the fifth patch and maybe the third one as they were very heavy in balance fixes.
For now the game seem to be very clan for a new try.
Just today an officially post has come from Inxile, they are making a very powerful changes to the game that includes to upgrade the graphic motor from Unity 4.5 to Unity 5.

Gydion: No patch. Just the full installer like the Linux version.

fredngo: That's absolutely horrible.
Yep, awful.

10gb is not a small number to redownload willy nilly.

z0lo: Any idea when you'll have Patch 6 available for Mac?
avatar
JudasIscariot: The Mac DMG has already been updated to the latest version and we added that 3 days ago :)
Still not seeing Patch 6 (2.6 to 2.7) available for Mac... what gives?

P.S. Will Galaxy help to alleviate this kind of issue? Judging by some of the threads I've seen, there seems to be a lot of discontent around the current situation.

Galaxy in itself won't help in that matter. GOG would need to provide devs direct upload access without GOG QA interference like Steam does.

Already answered.

Thanks, Petrell. I figured as much.

Thanks, Gydion. I had already seen your earlier post, but I didn't see any indication that this was the official position from GOG. Do you have any inside knowledge?

OK, thought you had missed it. Not sure what you are asking in that case. Judas stated in the OP that Windows had a patch and Linux has a whole new installer (no patch). In his post that you quoted he mentions the updated Mac DMG, whole installer (again no patch). Mac has already been updated so I don't know what you are waiting on. From what I've seen they are sitting on updates to a few other games. Really don't think they even have this patch for Mac on their list much less would I expect to see it anytime soon. For a definitive answer send in a support ticket.

No particular inside knowledge. Believe Judas did mention, about a Linux version & possibly in a different game forum, that full installers & no patches was just how it is for now. Inconvenient though it may be. GOG was looking to fix that for the future.

Oh, as far as Galaxy goes GOG did mention it would offer smaller (eventually?) and more frequent patching. I don't recall if they actually said devs would have automated access, but that's what I personally inferred from that post.
The reason I was asking is because there is a Patch 5 and Patch 5.1 for Mac available in GOG, but no Patch 6. It just seemed strange that they would change their patching strategy midway through the support cycle. I figured I might have missed an announcement somewhere. Regardless, thanks for taking the time, Gydion, I appreciate it.

JudasIscariot: Hi,

Patch 6 for Wasteland 2 has just been deployed on GOG. For Windows, there is a patch file named "Patch 6" and for Linux there is a new tar.g

Here are the patchnotes:

http://wastelandrpg.tumblr.com/post/110571021686/wasteland-2-patch-6-changelog-65562

Thanks and have a nice day :)
Argh, it seems I suffered on the "no notificated problem" myself... latest patch is to new for my WL2 installation it seems.

What I have installed (kickstarter version):
setup_wasteland2_2.0.0.8
patch_wasteland2_2.2.0.11
patch_wasteland2_2.3.0.12

latest patch (which is not installing):
patch_wasteland2_2.4.0.18

Could gog please make the intermediate patches available, again? (In general, the patches should be not removed in general but maybe shifted to a folder "outdated patches" or into extras...)

Check your shelf, I've added Patch 5.1 and patch 5. Let me know if any of that helps :)

wow... thanks for the super fast response :) ...downloading! Do you know of any save game problems with newer version? No "new game" required?

Edit: no, sadly patch_wasteland2_2.4.0.16 resists also to install, "wrong version" :( even older patch required?
