The Steam store has a 4K Texture Pack available to download for Chaosbane...since November. When's this going to be made available for GOG customers?

If you look at Chaosbane on PCGamingWiki, one of the Graphics Settings screenshots has a "4K Textures" option below "Window Mode". That 4K Textures line is missing from the GOG version, and there doesn't seem to be any 4K download for it on the game page.

With the newsletter code I was looking into buying but was looking for some more information. Found this on their official website faq. They have made some strange choices.

Do I need to buy the Slayer Edition to enjoy 4K on my PC?
No, the 4K DLC is available for free exclusively on Steam.

It`s a joke, right?

Unfortunately i noticed to late, else i would not have gotten it.

Not sure it`s eligible for refund... already downloaded, but this version is useless to me.

So, this is a new method for releasing games on GoG, simply cut out content or even reduce graphic quality, so it will look worse or older, making it "more fitting" for GOG...

HAHAHAHA, thats fun! If i would be GoG, i would not allow this sort of practic... because apparently they are laugthing at us... and telling us "you are poor and can afford nothing better than this".

Sorry... keep up your pride... this is junk. DO NOT ALLOW IT; THROW IT OUT OF GOG. Everything or nothing.

Anyway, guess someday there will be a custom mod for GoG only with 8k textures... then we can have another laugh, the gameworld is just fun!

And please remove this line on the GoG page. Because this is simply not the case, just because a DLC is not released on GoG it does NOT mean that there is every DLC available in this game. GoG should act more critical regarding those agressive behaviour... which is kinda in a gray area.

Either stay honest or yeah... add the missing stuff, thanks!

Indeed very stupid what they do because it will only feed those kind of actions. Unequal treatment will not solve any issue...

In my experience, people who really care will find a "workaround" and those wo think "it`s to stupid dealing with any hassle" they just click the game on "hide" and theyr trust into this industry is lowered once more, which is indeed sad.

I got enough other (and better) games to play... and some publishers and/or devs simply will be put to my black list.

There is some misinformation on this topic - GOG version DOES come with the 4K textures DLC, except it's not a DLC anymore. The game is repacked with those textures from the get-go and they cannot be disabled.

If you look into your Data folder, you can see a 12GB Textures_HD folder.

El juego en steam ocupa más 50 Gb con las texturas en HD, yo diria que no estan las texturas HD en la versión de GOG, incluida la Slayer Editon en base al espacio que ocupan Lo se porque lo tengo tanto en Steam como en GOG.

He probado a cargar los dos juegos a la vez, y aparetemente no consigo apreciar cambio en los dos, y tengo los ojos entrenados para percibir estas diferencias, lo cual me desconcierta, pero es llamativo el cambio de tamaño de la carpeta del juego:

Steam con Textura HD Pack: 58.076.669.015 bytes

Steam sin Textura HD Pack: 25.970.547.511 bytes

GOG: 32.964.111.843 bytes

Con estos datos que cada cual tome sus propias conclusiones, yo no termino de de tener claro que es lo que ocurre.


Translation:

The steam game occupies more than 50 Gb with the HD textures, I would say that the HD textures are not in the GOG version, including the Slayer Editon based on the space they occupy I know because I have it on both Steam and GOG.

I've tried loading both games at the same time, and apparently I can't see a change in both, and my eyes are trained to perceive these differences, which puzzles me, but the change in the size of the game folder is striking:

GOG version of the game comes with 4K textures DLC preinstalled and enabled without any option to disable, it also comes without Helmet Pack, Skulls Pack and XP Boost with no option of acquiring those DLCs.

Found this on PC game wiki so hope this helps have no idea if it is confirmed or not tbh.

So as far as i can Tell we get all the same stuff,i bought slayer edition and we seem to have gods tree pack and textures pack included in the game.Games Graphics look HD to me and i just unlocked god tree and have the extra tree so 2 in total. As above only stuff not included is Helmet ,Skulls and xp packs.

Hope this helps. Honestly for me for this price idc about those packs.
