Is there a reason why it's released earlier on Steam than on GoG?

I'm wondering this too.

I think it has something to do with the GOG validation process taking longer, if I recall correctly. It should only be a week or two.

Yeah, I'm trying to be patient. I'm hoping GoG gets it soon. Doing my best to avoid a steam purchase.

I'm also patiently waiting for a GOG release. I'd rather buy it here than elsewhere if I can do that, because DRM free means guaranteed access to the game now and in the future.

I doubt that, seeing who is publishing the game, but I'm REALLY getting sick of waiting.

Now, I'll NEVER buy this on Steam, but it's getting close to landing on my Switch first and that delays my "MUST HAVE THIS GAME NOW!" full price day one impulse buy to a "Meh, I've already got the game, so I'll wait on a sale."

So, February is almost gone now and still no news.

I'm willing to pay full price for this if it's on GOG, but at least I'd like to know when it is going to be available instead of a generic "soon".

With the Epic Store kicking off a new era of "exclusives", maybe Chucklefish has a new behind-the-scenes deal with Valve? Or maybe they are waiting for the Warez teams to crack it before they release the game without DRM for spite's sake. Who knows? GOG certainly seems not to.

throwing my voice into the chorus, what's up with the GOG release? I'm holding out on this one. Anything with full crossplay gets a GOG buy from me.

This is not an AAA game so from the devs perspective, it would be better to have it delivered to as many shops/platforms as possible so that players can buy it on their favourite one, instead of securing a time-exclusivity deal for selling on just one of those platforms.

It would be nice to have at least an approximate release date instead of the "soon" thing on the store page.

Just another person waiting on a release date announcement. I prefer to buy at GoG if I have the choice so I'm waiting.
It's been a month so some I hope to hear something soon. ;-)

I assume the delay is getting the game set up to run on galaxy.
