Dear Gog, dear Blizzard

currently, the Warcraft 2 Battle.Net is down. Therefore we cannot play the game in multiplayer.
It says: “Verifying CD-Key” for about 2 minutes, then it says: “Battle.Net is not responding.”

Please, reboot the servers and fix the issue, so that our community can play the game that we love.

Happened about 10 times since Global server implemented (GOG release). Sometimes it took more time to get fixed by Blizz.
All that lead to what left from Wc2 community go to war2ru. And there is not so much players there too. 5 years ago there be around constant 75 online at weekends when a bit more at Bnet servers. Since GOG release it soon lead to just few (very few) ones on Bnet. Now Bnet is empty. Literally 0. And about 40 online at weekend on war2ru, rarely. Mostly 15-20.

Wc2 dead. And - at least for me it looks like GOG release somehow affect this. 4 servers split to 5 (old ones still working technically, but exe files are not compatible). war2ru make it compatible with official GOG client probably lost someones...

There is alternative exe file, not compatible with Bnet. Plus widescreen hack. Maybe if you install their repack you got more online opponents.

This is simply wrong, we have a very active BNET community. We play every weekend and even often during the week.
We have played thousands of games on the GoG BNET throughout the last 3+ years. - Not to mention that there is a healthy overlap between the communities.
We just don't hang out in the Warcraft 2 En-x channels, since they cannot be moderated and people are put randomly into channels, something in between En-1 to En-4.

Yes I know there is also chat channels issue. While there is some one person in channel #1 (usually literally just one person) Bnet put new connected player to random chat channel. Still it is 0-2 players online. Someone 2 who already play. Or literally 0. It is still better copy regedit of Global gateway entire, erase it restart game (it recreate entry) customise it from 4 addresses to 5 (u need also change that string about how many servers should be listed)
And then download reg file from war2ru look at their main server and put it also to Bnet 5 addresses. Or just apply their reg file - it have their main + 3 backup servers and also include Global address. So you not lose it after war2ru reg file.

At war2ru you not get to random chat. They fixed that.
