Yeah it really is kinda expensive, but i guess i love these titles too much so i will buy them to support GOG.

To be fair the games have been reworked to allow proper multiplayer, WC2 has an updated version and all the expansions are included. With that in mind it's not that steep a price :)

To be fair, I spent more on lunch yesterday and I will get way more enjoyment out of this.
I think it's fair, Warcraft 2 is an old windows to modern windows port. Those are pretty tricky to do, probably cost GOG a fair amount to get it working in windows 10.

The only reason they are charging this much is because it's Blizzard, and Blizzard likes to maintain a premium even on decades old software. Kinda like Nintendo.
$15 is for both. $9.99 is for Warcraft II, $5.99 is for Warcraft. 2 games for $15.
You can buy a case of crappy beer for $15 and enjoy sitting on the toilet. Or you can buy this and get hours of enjoyment with friends.
Choose wisely. But just by the headline, I'm guessing you'd choose the beer.

Nope, i already bought them as soon as i saw them listed. I still think they were a bit pricey but it is what is. I just Need Hellfire and Diablo2.
You pay 15 bucks for a 2 hour 3D movie nowdays.
With Warcraft 2 and it's expansions you get probably over 40 hours of gameplay.
Pretty good deal.

We pay a premium to experience media when it's released. The price then drops over time, to allow those who can't afford release prices to enjoy it as well. Comparing a 20 year old game with a current movie doesn't work at all. The comparison would be closer if you were talking about a 20 year old movie. Which, if you're paying $15 for, is expensive.
Now, they've done some work on the game to make it run on modern machines, so that adds value. But I'm still waiting for a sale.
I think 5.99 for the first game, simply using DOSBox, and $10 for the second game + expansion + small improvements is about right.

Not comparable to movie prices...lol,,,;) These games will keep you entertained and involved for many dozens of hours...movies are good for 90-120 minutes of passivity...there's no contest really. Some people will complain about paying $7.50 per game for classics like these updated for modern OSes and hardware--but will go out and cheerfully plunk down $60-$80 for the latest AAA console garbage! Some people will plunk down $60-$80 *in advance* and wait more than a year to get the game (Bloodlines 2, etc.) Go figure...;)
I mean....no one is making you buy it. And GoG runs sales all the time....that said, if you think this is overpriced..... I would agree with the previous posts that 15 dollars for a legendary, still fun game that works on a modern pc is a very good use of resources. If you are truly that strapped for cash then buying pc games probably shouldn't be your first priority. Maybe pay the rent first.

I'd rather play me some Warcraft than pay for rent and food. I can go live at starbucks with my laptop living solely off the farms I build and the orc hearts I take.
I'm just wondering why SC got the free to play treatment while these two didn't. Warcraft 2 should be easily tweaked to play on modern PC's. Warcraft 1 takes Dosbox one way or the other it seems.

Diablo 1 should've gotten the free game treatment too, but I think there was more legal issues with that title than this one if I'm not mistaken?

The manual alone is really great to have though, I used to read it every once in a long while.

With Soundtrack missing from 2's extras/goodies and Battlenet.Edition being the only choice around (not the "original"), yes, it is a bit high.
