IronArcturus: I honestly don't see how you can play Uprising with a controller. :P You need so many buttons for everything! Not just controlling the Wraith, but calling out various units and citadels, readjusting the shields, and creating bases with the map.
You can bring up a menu for calling units so you don't need a button for every unit, the same goes for weapons. Readjusting Power Triangle will require some practice but I enjoy the SC enough that I think I'll get it in time. It also sports a Haptic Feedback area for both aim and movement, makes it very easy and convenient to move around (as opposed to a traditional controller with analog sticks). There's also this nifty little option to add alternative setup. I press a chosen button and voilá, a bunch of more keys for the same amount of buttons.

What I would like though is pre-determined Power Triangle like 100% weapon, shield or engine and of course a 33% balance, that would be very convenient. :)

Annoying that you have to disable sky option to call in Citadel. It looks so pretty with it, looks like a Windows Paint job otherwise. :(

Are you using Win7 or Win10? With Win7, I found out I was able to re-enable the sky texture in the Options with no problem. Also, the Cycle Power Settings button is usually mapped to the C key. This cycles from full weapons, speed, and shield.
This game crashes at the end of a mission and does not save the progress. It does do an in game save OK but I can't progress any further than the first level because of this. It also crashes at the end of each training mission. I also note that nglide version 1.03 is shipped within the game. nglide current version is 1.05. How can you delete the old version of nglide within the game folder itself and then use the latest version please?

Windows 7. I'll test that Sky thing next time I play. I'll also add Cycle Power to a hotkey instead of bringing up the triangle, thanks!

You can just copy and paste the new version over the current one if im not mistaken. Although i doubt it would fix any issues, its still worth a try.
I've noticed the game seems to go to a black screen and not load if any additional monitor is connected to the system. I tried physically disconnecting all but one of my monitors, restarting my system and the game launched. I then plugged one additional monitor back in while the game was sitting on the main menu and the game instantly went to a black screen.

That's not a problem in most cases, we've been testing the game on multi-screen setups and it worked.

Interesting. I have replicated this on both a desktop and laptop. both running windows 10 64 bit. the only way the game would launch was if I completely disconnected additional displays.
Windows 10 64 bit here and crashes at start prior to the fmw. Will try a few things and see if that works.
When i try to launch the game it just freezes. i've tried disabling everything in the background, and launching from exe, ive disabled my second screen, still freezes. got it too run once, but it then randomly crashed in the middle of the first mission.
Windows 7 64bit user, disabled most background processes. Disabled visual theme, desktop composition and dps setting scaling. Run as admin, tried multiple compatability modes. Disabled nglide. Game still wont start up, i just keep seeing the "Loading Uprising" message. Anyone else got the same problem?

Same here. Win 7 Pro x64, can't get past the "Loading" splash.

Thinking about refunding, but at the same time i had to wait so many years for another opportunity to play this game... :/

can you try disabling every(!) startup application besides system ones, restart the pc and run the game before anything else? (don't forget to reinstall it properly before that as poking with the game files might caused another problem here...)

Played around with nglide settings and tried multiple combinations of programs running in system tray.

It all boiled down to Logitech's SetPoint, killing it beforehand allows me to play Uprising flawlessly.

This might ease things for people with logitech hardware.
