Just curious if there's a way to install both :)

Would I install it once then run the installer again or something? (If so what's the best order)

I have the old disc version of Unreal 2, so I don't know if the GOG version is different. I didn't know it even had multiplayer. I guess try it and see.
Yeah I have a retail version as well, I remember installing Unreal 2 and then XMP afterwards.
Back in the day, I remember having both installed as well.
Anybody have a definitive answer for this? The game page still links to this, it'd be nice to know if GOG is still working on (or maybe even have already fixed and forgot to update the information for) this temporary inconvenience.

Edit:
Well, I just bought it for the heck of it, considering the price. There is currently one installer and gives the option of installing either the SP game or the MP game.

Sorry to wake up a really old thread but it looks like this has now been fixed.

I just purchased Unreal 2 yesterday as its on the Summer Sale along with the original Shadow Warrior as 2 different classic fps games I was missing form my collection, anyway the good news is the GOG Galaxy installation included Both Single player and the Multiplayer MOD for UnReal 2.

So now I just need to work out how to update the default master server, as the one configured with my install no-longer seems to exist and I will be ready for some on line Multi-player Unreal 2 action, or find some friends for a lan game ;-)

Can you please check the install folder and see if the two are together or separate?
It look like there are two separate installs the first in the "singleplayer" directory and the second in the "multiplayer" directory both directories are contained inside top level "Unreal 2 - The Awakening" directory.

Much appreciated!

If I don't want GOG Galaxy, am I able to remove it after I install the game and still have the game intact?

Yes, provided you didn't install the game in the Galaxy folder. The client is still in beta and there have been hiccoughs where it deleted files it shouldn't have. Usually, though, it works fine. If you want to be extra cautious, just back up the game folder.
