To fix the crash on startup with CPU's with 8 threads or more
download this pre-patched file and replace your exe in the bin folder of the main directory

works like a charm on ryzen 3700x (8 core 16 thread)

OR hop into your bios and just disable SMT and if needed some cores.

Personally I'd use the file but some people would prefer not to and there is definitely a way to run the game just fine without patching, I just requires an extra step.

I won't mess my bios setting ...but it's rather boring to have to temper with extra files , for this kind of old games....
I mean GOG could have checked from its side before selling it , no ??
