As topic states upon downloading the game files via the gog downloader, installing the game and then choosing to not run the game right then but just close the installer it then rebooted my computer.

Normal or are the innocent lost souls of war trying to send me a message?

2nd this.

Happened for me aswell.
I kept wondering if the game needed to reboot my system, wich did not make a whole lotta sense...

No problems with the reboot however. My PC started up just fine again.

It's not normal, same thing also with Alien vs Predator installer.
Don't worry, it's not a message from the other world, it's GOG fault. :p

It's actually Microsoft's fault, some redistributable libraries we bundle with the installer are doing this. We will fix this very soon.

Then you should not include them in your installer or at least include a message that warns users about this.

Sorry for the late reply, the forum message notification is a little out of sight as the account tab always has something updated or new so kind of ignore it most of the time.

Thanks for the explanation. Would've been nice to get a little warning when this was going to happen in case I had something important open and not saved but no harm no foul in my case this time.
