Hello fellow Witchers,

I just upgraded the game to the next-gen update and im pretty disappointed with the performance drop. I'm on a 3700x, 3070, 32gb, Windows 10 PC. I read that the DX11 version runs much better but everytime I try to launch it crashes immediately. Screen doesn't even go black first, I just get a crash report and that's it.

Any idea how i can fix this? Much obliged!

UPDATE:

So here's what I did. I deleted the game entirely. Downloaded the offline installer files and installed those. Tried the DX11 version and it worked. GOG does want me to do an update for 30gb but i stopped it. no idea why.

Have you tried turning off the GoG Galaxy ingame overlay? That seems to be the one thing that ended crashing for me. There are many other tips to help with crashing, so do a google and run through the suggestions. I've been playing the DX12 version now with no crashes!
