Seriously, what the heck?!
I don't play any game with WSAD, Always EDSF.

Can this be done in a config file manually somewhere?

I refuse to play any game that doesn't allow me to customize the controls. It completely destroys my fun in the game to have to contort my hands in a way that only other people can. It physically hurts my hands. Controllers are out. That's one reason I'm not playing it on a console.

Serious let down. Please say there is a patch, or a config file I can just edit somewhere?

check Documents\Witcher 3\input.settings

Mine is stick in controller mode so most of the bindings start with IK_PAD_
and many are IK_None. making the game completely unplayable.

WTF . I rather have DRM than no option to let me change my Keyboard keys. I also use EDSF. What year do we live in? let me check, yea, 2015. I am so upset right now.

Sucks man, I read you post in another thread... Hope they fix it ASAP, like tonight, cuz I feel for you. I refuse to play PC games using WASD...

I use WASD but I agree it's really annoying they locked the keybindings, I mean what's the point? The whole point with key bindings is to set up a personal scheme...

I want my map on TAB, not M!

Well, I play with arrows and surrounding keys, and I was able to bind all of them.
But, there were some keys I wanted closer, and they say they cant be rebound, like O, P, K, L..
:(

I feel your pain.
Key rebinding is one of the most important things in a pc game, 2nd only to FOV , which we are not allowed to change.

As BladeFireLight said, the input.settings file can be edited. It's real pain if you want to make big changes.

So far, I have WASD set to GSBD and a number of other changes, but it's taken some playing to figure out how Dodge and Roll works and things like the Strong Attack being Shifted. Also, there are many Keys that are used in different situations and some that can be split.

I had to play the game for a bit to figure some things out. These things can be changed manually, but are locked in game. That's just dreadful. I have no idea why that is.

I'll stick with the more practical WASD. So much hassle changing keys.

Yeah, I would think that many who can use WASD, or as least can put up with it, will do the same. I'm getting the hang of editing... like I did pre 2000s when I last had to edit a text file.

I've always hated WASD. Never used it since first playing DOOM.

Wow, many things taking me back to the past here :o/
