Ritualisto: You could try out this:
Importing saves via GoG.com / Galaxy
If players went through the previous Witcher games on the GoG.com platform, their saves should automatically be detected when beginning a new game in The Witcher 3. If, however, the Witcher or Witcher 2 were played on Steam, those save files will need to be manually transferred to a file location that GoG / Galaxy can register.
Steam saves are typically located in:
[Root]: \ Users \ [Username] \ My Documents \ The Witcher 2
Copy these files, then transfer them to whichever drive you have your GoG games installed to, then into the Witcher 3 folder. Typically, this is:
[Root]: \ GoG Games \ The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
Once the files have been copied, re-load the game and you should see an "Import Witcher 2 Save" when starting a new game.

Nope... :/
I have copied both /gamesaves and /W2/gamesaves in W3 directory and on same level of W3 directory and in the GOG installation directory,
I have following structure:
ssd C: were GOG is installed
hdd E: were documents folder is mapped
ssd F: were W3 is instaled
as said, W3 is able to detect documents folder and create saves there, but is unable to get information of W2 directory.
The surrogate import with the interview in the bath I know is a good workaround, but I would like to know if I will miss something from my choices of the first witcher (maybe connected to Alvin (?)) If not and in W3 there are no connection based on W1 choces then I'm fine.
Please let me know, thank you!
