Is there a way to disable/hide the name tags of npcs/animals and so on?
Weeell... I think this would be a double-edged sword (is that how you say it? This is one of the few idioms I don't know yet :P): on one hand, it would improve the gaming experience; on the other hand, how would you know who you're going to talk to?
Besides, names only appear when you approach an animal, an enemy or another character...
How do I know who I'm gonna talk to on real life? By talking to them. ;) I just "hate" name plates, they are the first thing I turn off in mmos or any other game. And it's such a beautiful and realistic world in Witcher 3, all the detail - name tags just don't fit in.
I admit you have a point there XD
The nametags are simulating the witcher's keen senses and (thankfully recovered) memory. He doesn't know how to turn that off.
Hehe, maybe that's better than collecting the shattered pieces of his memory in his last adventure. :D
I agree with you. I alsoI would like to disable this name tags!!! I'm playing on PS4 ...

If you google you can see we are a bunch looking for the same solution
and yes I completley agree on this, I want an option or tweak to disable
nametags, huge immersion killer for me.
(yes I also turn everything off in MMOS :)

Except of course that there are NPCs who look the same with different shirts.
