Hey guys! Big fan here of the Witcher from the Netherlands!

I am in need for some advice, currently I have a GTX560. I know you need minimal a GTX660 to play it. Ofcourse I would like to play with the maximum specs, but therefore I need a GTX770.

I added a Speccy screenshot in the attachments to show my current specs. I think my CPU and RAM are just fine. It's only the graphics card that need upgrading. So my question to you guys is : what kind of graphics card should I get based on my current system?

I preordered the game last summer, and it would a real bummer I can't play it next Tuesday :/

If you're buying a card now, get a GTX 970 or 980.
They run quieter, cooler and more efficiently than older models.

Don't expect a 770 or even 980 will run the game at "max". Right now all anyone can do is speculate though. We have to wait until release to see how the PC version really plays and with what settings.

GTX 770 is recomm for 1080 ULTRA with AA,HairWorks,Physx off at 30FPS, but i cant suggest u a card unless u say how much money u are willing to spend ?

I have to rob a bank first, but I thinking to spend about 250 euros max on a graphics card :)

Well gtx 970 is out of the option then and 960 is a waste and AMD i wouldnt recomm since this was made for Nvidia,maybe try and find a Used 770 for 150+ euros and save the rest of the cash for 2016 pascal cards from Nvidia
P.S. TBH u cant get to maximum 1080p and 60 fps with a 250 euro budget for a NEW card

R9 280X could be an OK choice as well if you prefer AMD, pretty much best buy in that price range.

Personally, I'd wait and see.

im affraid he is looking to buy in the worst period for gpu sales ever,dunno maybe w8 too see if a 380x is any better than a 280x but since its rebrand it will proly be the same. such a bad time to shop for cards now if u cant buy a 970 . and im afraid 280x wont get anywhere near ultra or maybe even high @60 fps for this game np m8

True, 970 is the absolute best buy at the moment, too bad it is still 300 quid. It will be some time until we see something noteworthy from AMD anyway, funny how things have changed since the 79xx series.

maybe im just fancy but i wouldnt give any money to a 128bit card in 2015 and thats what a 960 is

The Question was what Grafikcard would be able to run Witcher 3 . He also said that he has a budget of 250€.

I was thinking about getting the ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 960. Any opinions?
