maybe im the only one having this issue and maybe it's a gameplay decision but either way it's bugging me so much i have to ask:

in way too many cases i am pressing BLOCK yet geralt doesnt go into blocking stance. i sometimes have to press it multiple times for it to happen. also after i get it it takes about 2 seconds for him to block. probably the same issue....

i am aware that blocking requires VIGOR and these issues happen when i have at least one vigor chunk.

Both blocking and casting signs use Vigor. The Meter under your health bar to the right of the toxicity gage. Has little yellow blocks.

Without vigor you can not block, however blocking uses less vigor than casting signs. If it is not working and you have Vigor than it is probably a bug.

dude , come on, i specifically said that i know that!! i HAVE enough vigor to block. the issues are when i DO HAVE VIGOR.
i wonder if anyone else is having this issue.

is it really so after u get hit than u have to stand still for like a second after u finish staggering until u can block again or is that also a part of my bug?

Check your FPS if it's above 40 then something is wrong. I had that problem when I had ubersampling on, the FPS was bad so controlling was heavy.
If your staggering, blocking might take a second more. But if you have Vigor, you should be able to block. Unless their is a status penalty affecting you possibly. Poisoned? Used a particular Potion?

If its none of that then its either low FPS causing control latency issues or a bug.
i have around 20FPS on my 4850 and i bet something is messed up here, but regardless of the reason im having poor FPS this might be the reason. i dunno.
i cant play this gorgeous game, i guess, until there is some fix. somewhere.

unless anyone has some tips.
Try running it in windowed mode, turn of Ubersampling.
