Haha, joke's on you, I've spent 4 years of childhood in Dusseldorf, my accent is spot-on so in case of a German invasion I'll blend in and you'll never find me!

Christ.. you win this round. I'll rethink my battle plan.

dam it that means the pirates will be be able to play the game before all of us who actually purchased the game:(

More like realist

It's kind of pessimistic to call him a pessimist in this situation, because he is absolutely right.

Sure it's quicker and easier to steal, but you can sleep well knowing you did the right thing and supported the developers of this great game and great download service.

While most companies cater to the pirates by making honest people deal with restricting DRM or authentication, GOG does not, preferring to cater to us honest customers, proving that the chain can indeed be stronger than its weakest link.

So while he may be right about the pirates, this is the one place, the oasis in the desert of pirate caterers that you can go and get treated right, like the honest customer you are.

Sorry for spreading my pessimism around. It's so pessimistic to think that the pirates are unlikely to get to play it first because Poland get it one day before. They'll have to work bloody quickly and do you seriously think someone is not going to buy it now because they'll be downloading 10GB copy to get to play it a few hours before release, if they can even make it.

Sorry but I don't think it will make squat difference. Let the Polish enjoy their well deserved early start.

PS Oh and I said 'pessimist' with a smirk on my face. Perhaps the tongue and cheek was not evident. Must learn to use these emotes more!

Well I definitely agree it's fair that they get the game early, after all, they made the thing, they should get some benefit considering they probably get most games a bit later on average than the US and Japan.

I am installing the game now, I can't wait to play, anyone tried it yet?

You do realize that's latin, not polish, don't you? :D
avatar
diamount: Oh.. that's not really fair for other CE uses around the world...
Well, I've been looking at U.S. / U.K. having unfair advantages pretty much all my internet life. Some recent examples that pop into mind are Civ5 release dates (4 days head start for the U.S.), Anandtech (U.S. only), Hexus (U.K. only) giveaways.

I suppose then it oughtn't be bad practice to actually do this kind of favouritism to other nations as well, is it?

If that question was meant for me: yes I can distinguish my native language from the language of dead Romans. But don't blame me if I get confused sometimes, I'm currently dealing with English, German, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit and Turkish... For some reason I keep mixing in Arabic words in my Spanish!
