Sorry if these issues have been mentioned, but I didn't have time to read all the posts here.
-Sometimes (but quite often) I can't use a strong attack. Even though I click the right mouse button, Geralt just stands there doing nothing (and getting killed). This happens most often when fighting near a wall (with left shoulder against wall).
-Not being able to save a game during the events leading up to the Draug might be a design decision, but it was very annoying to have to fight the same soldiers over and over and over... (repeating of course) again.
-When the green mist has been lifted and Geralt and Roche are heading for Vergen, I thought I had to go North instead of South. I could climb all the way to the trees in the North. This created problems with landscape rendering. The path I took was through one of the ravines below the round stone where the curse manifested itself. I climbed until I found myself on a ridge above the "Twin Lakes" with the Arachas. Enjoyable trip though, with a grumpy Vernon trailing me.
-The game often freezes during loading. I play in windowed mode at 1600x900 resolution on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, using an NVidia GTX275. Usually it takes about 10 to 20 seconds and then the application continues.
-I found an NPC (I believe near the Brothel in Chapter 2 - Vernon Roche version) that had something like [EN] in its name. Apparently a debug or production tag.
-Sound of dialog sometimes disappears.
What I would like to see changed:
-I much preferred the interface of Witcher 1. This new interface does not give information enough, making crafting items and selling junk a pain in the proverbial @$$.
-I still have no idea who the "Black Ones" are and what the relationship is between the 3 kings. Some hints during the game, telling me which books to read or explaining more about politics and stuff would have helped. I don't mind digging for information, but it feels at times the story progresses too quickly for me to know what the beep is going on. Even though I do all sidequests.
-The mouse can not be detached from moving the camera. This is very annoying. I much prefer TW1 when it comes to being in control of the camera AND your mouse. If I Alt-tab to a browser, it takes a lot of guessing and clicking until I finally get focus. I am even more screwed if there is no browser opened yet. Then I need to use the keyboard to open the Start menu, because my cursor is invisible.
Great game, with probably the best graphics I have ever seen. I love the way Geralt's hood becomes wet during rain, the detail (like stitches) on the clothes, the great level design (very believable) and the cinematics. I also love the European "feel" to the landscape and castles. You guys sure know how to build a defend-able castle! Poland can be proud to have such a brilliant team of designers and programmers.
