So I got it installed (finally) and go to launch the game after letting it detect my settings (detects for High), and it LOOKS like its going to load, and the Launcher closes and there is a hour glass, only nothing happens. No flashes no blank screen just after a few seconds the launcher opens again.

AMD Phenom x4 3ghz
8 gigs Ram
Windows 7 64 bit
Geforce GTX 275
SB XI FI Titanium HD

any ideas? The official fourm is gone and I got it from GOG so this seemed like the place to post this
Instead of hour glass I got a wolf logo(witcher logo) that stays for minutes and nothing happens.

I've got the same problem, had to reduce my desktop resolution to 1920x1200. There's a thread here about the problem somewhere. Some had success running it in windowed mode, but this is a better workaround. Hopefully they'll fix the issue.

I get a wolf logo too, i forgot to mention it. Looks like we are all in the same boat.

I wonder whats causing this?
Anyone from GoG or CDPR monitoring?
I had a somewhat similar problem. When trying to launch the game, sometimes it showed the wolf logo but didn't proceed anywhere. Other times it'd complain "Please use the launcher to start the game", even though that's exactly what I was doing.

It was caused by Avira Antivir misidentifying the witcher 2 exe as malware during installation and preventing the activation patch from being run. I uninstalled the game, disabled Antivir Guard and reinstalled, and now everything works like a charm. Also, now that the install has been done properly, Antivir doesn't complain about the exe anymore either even when Guard is on.
Do you have a higher than 1920x1080 desktop resolution? If so, it won't run in fullscreen :-(

Well that explains it, I have a 24 inch Widescreen monitor that runs at 2048x1152

Same here. Staring at the wolf image all the time.
I have the same problem as posted I use NOD32 antivirus but idk if that would be the reason?
