So, I'm around floatsam and doing quests, and I manage to kill a guard after missclicking on a spell, blasting one off the ledge at the docks. Now, whenever I go near flotsam, I'm getting a cutsceene where a guard suddenly appears and yells: "Kill that bastard." I then imediately die, without a chance of ever getting into flotsam. Anyone know what to do? I'm desperate. Trying to turn in the kyran quest, but can't get near the guys I actually need to talk to..

Didn't know that was even possible, have to try it just to see it :)

Anyway, it appears that the guards consider you as the enemy and that's there to show that there's things that you just can't do. Only solution is to load an older save game.

@Soldiergeralt I don't run around with my weapon out in town. Also, if I do so, they just attack me, and I have a chance to defend myself.

Gonna see if there's anyone having the same problem, but in the end, I might have to load a older save, which would be lame as I've gained about 5 levels since the killing of that stupid guard :(

Since you killed a guard, I imagine you need to load an earlier save.

Maybe I should look for a downloadable savegame. Right after I've defeated the kayran.. I'm lazy-ish, and don't wanna lose about 4 hours of gameplay xD

There should be an auto-save right after you killed the Kayran, unless you exited the game as I don;t think auto-saves stay after you exit. Otherwise PM me and I will get one out to you later on this afternoon once I get home.

This blows my mind how your last save can possibly be from four hours ago. :p

I mean, I currently have almost 1400 saves in my folder. Do you just never press your quick save key? Unless your hardware is on the low end, it shouldn't even hardly register as a blip or stop you from doing whatever you're doing pressing the quicksave.

I quicksave alot, but I was in the wilderness for quite some time after the deed was done. Did all of the side-quests. When I was on my way back to tie the last lose ends in flotsam, I got a cutscene and died. So I'm only assuming that the killing of a gard caused that reaction, but I didn't get to check it out as I went out of town straight afterwards.

Hehe my friend:

This is coming from years and years of playing RPGs and other games................I save save save, kill a mob......save, walk 10 meters....save, make a potion.....save, before purchasing stuff at a vendor........save, after purchasing stuff from a vendor........save.......level up my stats..........save....................etc. etc.............Got myself in trouble once and had to play almost 5 hours and another 30 tries killing one boss years ago, so I learned my lesson real good and real fast..........Bioware made it very difficult fro us when they limited Mass Effet2 to 150 saves but still managed.

And another word of advice on saving: always SAVE before turning in a Quest just in case you choose the wrong reward or whatever.....
