Why does this exist? It cannot be completed. Regardless of whether you find out who did it or who made the goblet it simply cannot and fails every time. Is this intentional or a bug?
Have you completed a quest named "Baltimore's Dream" ?
I have question the folk. Taken the Thorak Suspect quest. Completed the Thorak Suspect quest. It said I failed. I read the journal. It mentioned something about:

"Saskia is dying, the Witcher didn't have time to find out more"

or something to that extent. So I thought, perhaps if I healed Saskia first, then tried to complete the quest it would work. I healed Saskia then completed the Thorak Suspect quest again. I had failed again and read the journal to see why. It said:

"Saskia is dying, the Witcher didn't have time to find out more"

I was just baffled at this point. SASKIA HAS BEEN HEALED SHE IS NO LONGER POISONED. It was just pretty shocking really. So I really see no way of completing this quest.

You can "find out more" if you do it before the peasants decide to lynch Prince Penis.

Finish Baltimore's Dream quest with a save before the lynching quest.

Okay, I'll try that. Thanks.
Though I completed Baltimore's Dream quest, Suspect: Thorak and Walls have Ears still failed even after I had a proof that Thorak was guilty of making a poisoned replica goblet.

Thanks. It worked, I have completed it.
Oh, I give up. Now the damn Suspect: Thorak quest has failed. I checked my journal and nothing has even changed. So I completed the quest and now, after I have lifted the curse, it has suddenly failed. Jesus I hate the questing on this game.

Have you opened the chest in Thorak's house?
I'm stuck here too

The exact point I'm at is
- completed Baltimores Dream
- defeated Thorak but not opened his chest
- Walls Have Ears quest has status "wait for events to unfold"...text says "talk to inhabitants" but there are no markers and no one is hanging around the palace

Is it possible to trigger Walls Have Ears to restart at this point?

If I go and open Thorak's chest now Walls Have Ears fails.

Thanks
