Fresh install for me...I used the website's 1.0 to 1.3 installer...works like a charm

One bug I immediately noticed was, no 2560x1600 support right off the bat. Only 1920x1200....Well I modified the user.ini in the documents/witcher2/config pathway. I saved it, made it READ ONLY file through properties. Then I open up my options menu through the witcher 2 launcher, it gives me some screwed up resolution (720x576)

The fix for this....adjust EVERYTHING you have to do in options BEFORE you modify the user.ini....once you modify your user ini to whatever specified resolution (in my case, 2560x1600) then go ahead and LAUNCH game...absolutely do not touch options, or else you will have to go back to user.ini and fix it again

Post up your bugs/reviews/comments

EDIT: Kindo brings up a good point. Credit goes to him

Anyone encountering any bugs with 1.3, please uninstall any mods you're currently using, then try again to see if the issue is resolved. Chances are quite high that these 'bugs' you find might have something to do with incompatibility with one or more mods. If the problem still persists after uninstalling the mods and running the game again, then there is something wrong, and you should contact tech support (and share it with us as well).

For example, the two very popular mods HUD Tweaks and Panel Tweaks, made by user FollowTheGourd, both create problems within the game if you've updated to 1.3, and should be uninstalled until an updated/fixed version is uploaded.

redownloading and reinstalling from scratch. got the "incompatible game version" error when trying to apply the 1.2-1.3 patch, or any other patch for that matter. Had problem with the troll dlc on 1.1 when that came aswell, so something is funky with my install :/ Hope this will sort it out.
Has anyone tried the new dlc?

how about storage at inn, working good?

Beat it. It's awesome, but short.

EDIT: Don't expect anything particularly epic. It's just an added quest with an awesome ending that I suggest you begin before you do the harpy-trap quest.

Yeah, I am also curious about the new DLC. Moreover, before I'll have time to fire up the game again (probabyl tomorrow night) I really hope Panel and HUD tweaks mods will be updated, because they were absolutely indispensable...

When I first saw the ending I was like: " WTF is that ?! He did not..."
Just to have this close to the beginning of the topic:

I know, right? When he asks you to get 60, it was like... "Okay, this is getting a little ridiculous and there better be a good reason behind this."

Technically there was, and it was so worth it.

Please no spoileriffic answer, but... the quest IS accessible from both paths, right?

One of the RED ones chimed in when someone asked that on another thread and assured everyone that it is :)

It's in an area accessible on both paths, so I'm inclined to believe it.
For some reason now the highest resolution option I can pick is 1024 x 768.
Erm, any news or info about the Steam version of the game? :) (here's hoping for a non-9GB update for a game).

Apparently Steam forums are all down atm.

Did you try the .ini fix in the first post?

I heard--and this is just a rumor--that the new patch won't require people to download the entire thing again. That's just what I've heard and it could be totally untrue, so don't hold me to that.

Steam is planning to change the way patching works, generally, and to increase download speeds (especially when many are trying to download, i.e. new releases/sales). Parts of that new system are already implemented. How much exactly, knows Valve alone.

So, it is possible that this patch will already be smaller. But it depends on how far Valve's infrastructure changes have come, so far. The last thing I heard was that they plan to have it fully working when DotA 2 is released - so that's more of a con against a small TW2-1.3.

Well, according to these news: http://store.steampowered.com/news/5856/

... things should go/update normal now. We'll see when the patch arrives, though.
