I don't believe this CDP_RED_Team guy is really from CDP Red. Looks like to me just some guy who created an account name and pretending to be them. There would be more of an official designation that would separate them from the normal users.

I think some people tend to think the world is like a video game. You just enter such and such a value, press this button, go collect resources and everything works like you want it to.

I understand that certain things set off alarms to different people. We all have our hot buttons and pet peeves. But, as you may find it hard to fathom that I am not bothered by it, I can't figure out where this becomes the total disaster it is to you.

They go through even bigger pain, like this. Commenting in the Community section is a real pain considering it doesn't have threads and is full of spam and haters, having to reply to 10 times the normal amount of support request e-mails is a real pain, because you have to answer the same questions over and over and over.
There's just no advantage in taking down the forums, except that vague "they did it because like this no one will read how sucky their game is on the forums!!".

I agree. The timing was bad. My guess is, that the old forums couldn't have taken the HUGE masses swarming in upon release. So they had to upgrade the forums and PLANNED to do that before release - which for whatever reason didn't work. Maybe something unforeseen happened - or maybe their time management just wasn't appropriate. But concluding right away that they don't care and ignoring all the support they ARE offering, is, as I said, unfair.

i wouldnt call a month of downtime 'concluding right away'... as i said, a week or so would have been understandable, its only the fact its taken this long that ive become so disappointed in them.

GoG Forum shouldn't be The Witcher community official forum, namely because it isn't directly linked to the site. Secondly, the layout of this site, as well as the options, aren't fitting for the official forum. Using "people post here" excuse as an argument is weak - people post here as well as on gamespot, ign, rpgcodex or even on /v/, so why you don't call those forums official then? Right now it's chaotic and random; due to the lack of subforums searching for a certain topic is mundane and tiresome, besides, threads inactive even for one day get lost in the constant stream of the new ones. First and foremost, there are no responses from the CD Projekt team (except this one, though, I suppose it's a troll).

The official forum was a community that embraced the whole spectrum of the Witcher players. This one simply cannot due to its unpopularity and lack of support from the CD Projekt. I appreciate your support and loyalty, but turning a blind eye to this failure won't benefit neither Witcher fans, nor CD Projekt.

I can't see any need for the official forum at this point. Every question asked here has been answered here. The only reason I have an account here is because I had to make one to buy the game from GOG.

Oh, and they like to show their superiority by attacking fellow posters. You know, when you feel like losing in discussion, you start to act like an English teacher, recollecting those precious moments when this man or woman pwned you so hard you felt like a total loser ;-)

We are extremely disappointed that our official forums are not yet up. We do believe there is still a significant purpose / need for them. There are multiple reasons; without going into all of them, one example is that it's much easier to create individual forums for specific topic areas and purposes. Another key factor is that we we do not view the game as something we will only support for a few weeks or even a few months; we are committed for the longer term. A third consideration is the Xbox 360 version we announced a few days ago. It is certainly a better fit to have the forums for that on thewitcher.com than on GOG.

So we are still intent on getting our forums up, and we hope you will come and visit when they are.

I suggest you you take a good break from popping your bill until you understand what is being said to someone else, and while you are at it, lay off bashing Americans unless you really want your warts exposed for all to see.
