Grimnir19: So I started off a game with my old witcher 1 save file (Where I started off with D'yaebel, Raven's armor and Aerondight), I'm almost done with chapter 2 and throughout the game I've been replacing my steel sword at a rather steady rate (D'yaebl--->Robust cutlass--->Temerian---->Kaedwani) but so far I have found no silver sword to match Aerondight's power. My question is, have I missed something? Could I have found a better silver sword?
avatar
Gidzin: I imported my Moonblade 14-22dmg =24%bleed =5%signs I shoulda used my Aerondight??
Prologue had it rated @ same dmg but only 5%bleed?? Ch1 reclaim was much, much better stats!?

Thought the skeleton quest was only if you didn't have a TW1 save?? No slots that I know how to use..I've only done a few quests in Ch_1 so far....The other thing I notice is that just because you persue a quest line it doesn't mean you've actually fully achieved it(Distractions for example...theres more to it if you got caught by a guard there was more beyond it BUT you'd never know because it logically follows the storyline).
You mean in relation to TW1 ?

I changed my Moon Blade to %5 dmg modify runned Superb silver sword right before the end of the Act I. It does the job 'til you find the silver sword in the dwarven catacombs.

i sold the moon blade and crafted a superb silver than added rune to it. also sold raven armor and crafted an Hunter's Armor. I used %5 dmg modified and some bleeding runned Jagged Blade as a steel blade.

Are the stats better than the moonblade silver(14-22dmg, +24%bleed , +5% signs)??

Cause I had to re-load (couldn't find my Orig swords on the Scent of Innosence quest AND lost the silver ore(rare) on re-load so I'm wondering how much running around I need to do to make the Superb Sword thanks

18-26 dmg, 15% bleeding + fire rune. It's a sword I got on chapter 1, haven't bothered crafting for any more swords.

Those were my Act I weapons:

Witcher's Superb Silver Blade (modified with Ysgith Rune): 18 - 27 dmg +19% bleeding +1 Adrenaline gen.

Jagged Sword (modified with Sun and Ysgith runes): 22-28 dmg steel sword, +31% bleeding +18% poison

Sword of the Dun Banner (29-36, 20% Incineration and block reduction damage, 13 knockdown) seems to be the best steel sword in the game up until Chapter 3 at least, and the Negotiator (20% bleeding and freezing, 30% vitality) seems to be a great silver sword.

Sword of Dun Banner was 20-24 or something less than yours for me. I was amazed by those stats for a highly named sword like that.
I sold my imported silver sword with 3 rune slots (I forget its name) when I was able to make the robust yellow meteorite sword in chapter 1.
I was hacking nekkers like they were the drowners in the first edition of the Witcher.
