I'm so torn! I only recently got The Witcher 1 and I'm a purist so I want to complete them in order, but at the same time, I don't want to miss out on enjoying TW2 while it's "new", you know?

If you really are a purist, then you would be playing Witcher 1 right now and not asking for advice on the forums... :)

play th witchere 1 first and pretend there is no the witcher 2 :)

Play TW1...its slow in act 2 through some of act 3 but it picks up a lot near in the final acts/epilogue...Just do it :)

I remember reading about W2 on RPS, they said you really need to have played the first one and I recommend it too.
