Kleetus: I can't get over that not only is there no quick load, but to change game options I have to leave the game.

I would never have expected these things from this developer or this game.
these are the sacrifices made for a superior engine.

Explain how is that different than to reboot the engine? Can't CDP deal with memory leaks?
I also find it odd there is no quickload. It's something Im used to having. I have no lag at all when opening my menu to load a game. But I can see where those that do that it would become annoying. I do miss it though.
Fyi, WItcher 1 had a quickload button.

I guess the memory leak is selective, cos I can play for 7 hours, then leave it running overnight, come back and it's still smooth

If you narrow it down, ALL memory leaks are selective. There has to be an instruction send to the system to allocate memory, failing to deallocate it once the process is over is a basic memory leak.
Add it to the long list of features that have been sorely lacking for a 'PC' release.
just FYI for all you tools out there but the default Quickload key in most if not all games is F9 did you even bother trying to hit any of the F keys?

Just FYI for you, this topic that you bumped took place before the 1.3 patch that added quickload to F9.

Having a real "let he without sin cast the first stone" moment, right now.

Did someone actually create a new account in order to post that, sounding all high and mighty and insulting? Oh, sirrah! The hilarious irony when he turned out to be the tool!

*snicker*

On a related note, however, is anyone else unable to reassign the Quicksave/Quickload keys? I'm used to having my Quicksave set up as F8, but currently TW2 won't let me reassign it.

Maybe, if you're lucky, the Quick Load King will help you? :)

Anyway, certain keys like the Panel and Quick Save/Load and Esc can't be changed.

That's why they're shaded grey.

But he's the QuickLOAD King! I need the QuickSAVE King! ;)

Anyway, I figured that's what was going on, although I'm puzzled as to why we can't reassign the keys for those buttons. Hopefully CDPR will address that in patch 1.4.
I'm more disappointed than puzzled.

Especially with having to exit the game just to change settings.
No kidding. F9 used to be my FRAPS recording shortcut key. The first time it happened, BAM!!, I went back half an hour in time when I just wanted a footage.
