What is the point in quick time event fights ????

Seriously , I don't even see any game-playable sense and even less fun or pleasure doing those stupid combats.

And what you are even supposed to do ? I see flashing round icons very fast like Z, Q, S,D .. in most of the cases, it is just nearly impossible to reproduce the combination properly in time and you have absolutely no real control and/or reference neither any ways to take defensive stances over the whole combat. Also, when you get hit you lose a lot of health.

Most of the times, i have succeeded by pressing fast randomly the keys and that's how i have managed to beat the opponent a few times., but the whole thing is totally incoherent

The examples are: at the begining of the escape from your prison when you have to beat the two guards. (had to retry at least 7 - 8 times)

and now, im just f*é"'-*ing stuck at the public execution place in the first city you arrive with your friends... it is where you have to defeat a guard and then the executioneer.

unless im doing something wrong,

this is just LAME ... im playing it in NORMAL mode, gimme cheats to skip that stupid BS , plz

furthermore, when you die, since there is no way to save the game during that action, you have to go again through the interactive dialog mundane task ...

It's a test of reflexes. If you're having trouble, I've been told Easy gets rid of most, if not all, of them.

Which, I suppose is the point, since Easy's description is for those who just want the story and not have to deal with playing the game.

I can't cope with the public execution one even on easy!
So that's game over for me then?

Really? It was very easy for me on normal difficulty... have you deactivate QTE in the options menu?

Yes I have - but I don't have the reactions of the younger people on here.

Don't focus on the screen, look further behind.
The keys always appear in different parts of the screen.
S appears at the bottom, W at the top;
A on the left and D on the right.

Just follow the direction.
And again - don't focus on the screen, look behind it and follow the screen with your peripheral vision.

It's really nothing difficult. My non-gaming GF loves the QTE fights. :)

That totally sucks, hopefully someone will make a mod in the future turning QTEs into cutscenes.

Hmm, I must be lightning quick because I think these QTE are way too easy. I blew through the execution sequence, all the fights, Fight Club, etc. I'm hoping there are more keys than just AWSD. I want them to throw in a Z, Q, E at me! Playing on hard mode with Difficult QTE on.

*shrugs* not sure what to say OP, just work on your reaction time guess? They even made it easy where the D is on the right of the screen, S on the bottom, as so on.

i have finally managed to defeat the two at the lame public execution scene, and the scene ends up by one of the girls being hung/executed !! (FAILURE)

that has happened already 2 times WHAT THE EHLL???§!!!

Umm, I'm pretty sure the two elves always hang. They're not the two you're trying to save. ;p So if you're constantly replaying that hoping they live........;p

I don't think its possible to save that elven girl.
