When I started new game and chose to import save there were five possible save games to choose from. In this order:

3 - Order of the Flaming Rose (autosave)
50 - Ice Plains
51 - Ice Plains
52 - Ice Plains
53 - Ice Plains

So which one to choose? Since the autosave is at the top of the list I figured that would be latest save, but when I booted up Witcher 1 and checked saved games I noticed that all those Ice Plains save games were made after that Order of the Flaming Rose autosave.

Also, it's weird that Witcher 1 doesn't autosave after the last battle. Should I replay the end and manually save before I talk to Dandelion?

Anyways, thanks in advance. : )

That would probably be the best thing to do. :)
Although, I THINK Ice Plains save-games are working too, since nothing changes anymore - but I'm not 100% sure about that.
It's too bad that there doesn't seem to be definitive answer to this. Some people are saying that save game made after last boss doesn't work when importing and you should only use that Flaming Rose autosave or Ice Plains save.
Actually, I did save right before speaking with Dandelion in Witcher 1 and the import worked correctly in Witcher 2 for me.

Okay, good to know. Maybe I'll just replay the last boss and save before talking to Dandelion, just in case.

Yep, it should work, don't know if the last choice (fighting the Wild hunt/ Let the Wild hunt take the graondmaster's soul) will affect something, but it's an easy fight, so to be sure it's better :)

It won't make any difference and aside from the gear and a couple of very short conversations there is no difference to the normal game. The last choice has no impact.
