I'm in Flotsam and I have a quest to eliminate the sea monster. I've been to Loredo (the town commander) and now it says to ask around in the tavern. When I go to the tavern, there seems to be no clue.

I have a game manual and it says that when I enter the tavern, there will be a peasant, who wil run in and I will need to follow him to the harbour, but there is no peasant running in.

Any idea what I need to do? How did you proceed with the sea monster in Flotsam?
Read about the quest in the journal, you should have all the information needed there.
Oh man, I did I did.

It clearly says something go back to the tavern and ask for the information in there.

Whom do I need to talk to in the tavern? I tried everyone.

you need to make a potion, and make a deal with a merchant not the ones you buy stuff from and then talk to the witch.

It depends on your sequence of events (night time I think)when I finally went into the Tavern Triss was in there, spoke to the gang and then someone came in and said something about a monster.. its not that important Like the other guy said your journal should lead you there if not just keep doing quests till another episode happens I guess

That's what's great about this game each playthru is so different!!
Alright, thank you, both of you.

While I don't understand anything about the potion and the witch, I guess I'm trying to enter the tavern during the day, that's correct. Perhaps, indeed, I need to wait till nightfall. I will try that. For now Triss stands by the window and the bard and the dwarf sit by the table and you can't interact with them.

Yes, it seems that you can make many choices in the game, which effect the results.
