I know there are other posts on this topic, and I apologize in advance. Those posts (mostly from last spring or laptop users) did not solve my problem -- namely, that I can't run the game at a decent clip with any settings. According to this thing, I should be able to run the game just fine: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/intro.aspx?name=The%20Witcher%202:%20Assassins%20of%20Kings&id=11073

I've turned all the settings down (including turning uber off) and attempted to run the game at 1280x720 both full-screen and windowed. In all cases, the video of the characters cannot keep up with their speech (in the intro or tutorial) and the FPS is too low for swordplay.

I have two monitors, but turned one off via Windows settings before starting up the game.

I tried lowering the resolution further, but could not read the blurry text.

Any ideas?

That website tells lies and shouldn't ever be trusted. It's told many people that it can run this game when they can't.

The 5450 isn't a good enough GPU to run the game. If you can't make it work at 1280x720 and aren't willing to go lower, then it's simply not going to work. Sorry for the bad news.
Okay, thanks 227.
