I just got a GOG-account to be able to patch The Witcher 2 to enhanced edition through the GOG-downloader. I registered and got my backup copy, but i cannot only download the 3.0 (enhanced edition) patch, it seems i have to download the whole backup-copy.

I would be extremely grateful if anyone could give me some help on the matter!

And also thanks for taking the time to read this message.
You can download individual patches for TW2 here.

The EE patch is big btw, probably around 11 GB's or so.

Thanks for the answer!
But i tried to do that before and after downloading for some time something happened and the downloading stopped (i've tried several times). So i was wondering if you could patch the game via GOG without uninstalling the retail version?

GOG doesn't host incremental patches for TW2, just the full build of the EE so through gog you can only download the whole thing.

I don't know how you tried to update but you can do it manually, instructions and download links here.
