Glad to hear you are back in the game again. I'm a bit late to this ummm, party, but I Bought the game on Disk complete with DRM. With the messages you got, whoever suggested removing ALL files was correct. It must completely clean of all traces of TW2. Then you can start a fresh install. I beiieve it was the first patch that eliminated the DRM. ON my last install, after the game was installed, it immediately connected and patched through 1.2 and that was it. I got 1.3 from CDPR's site when it was released. As for the Digital Download of the game, I can't speak to that, as I rarely get games that way. Point is, that the key is making sure you have absolutely nothing left of TW2 before trying to reinstall the game. I think this was pointed out somewhere in here.

I moderate another forum and we deal with this kind of thing dailey, both hardware and software issues. There were a lot of good helpful suggestions in this thread. I did seem to get a bit argumentative between you and Audrey from what I've seen. Her suggestions were good as were yours and others. To get argumentative is counterproductive and does a disservice to the poster with the problem. I made my post, but from my experience with the same issues and was backing no particular position in this, although I had seen it mentioned when going through the thread. Another thing I would like to point out. Audrey may be a girl, but from my experience on a lot of different boards, because they may be female, doesn't make them any less capable. Again, my point is the Thanks, was unnecessary, as i was taking no position in my post.

Point taken.
But thanks nonetheless.

And a personal note, if I may: I did not say she was less capable in any way. Never even hinting it.

EDIT addendum: And gender have never even fell into discussion, so I'm rather confused. If you're referring to the "dorlin" name calling. I didn't mean anything when saying that. Not even as a subtext.

It's not some kind of competition, you know. Most people who contribute to topics wherein the OP is asking for technical support of some kind, are out to help in whatever way they can. There is absolutely no need to read some sort of hostility behind a post that either tried to correct previous information given, or to offer a different point of view or another possible solution. Doing so only proves that you want there to be an argument for you to take part in. Instead of looking for a reason to start a fight, you should have been happy and grateful that we have such an active and helpful community here, that several people immediately jump in when one of their fellow fans has run across a problem. This place has so far been almost entirely spared from many of the rude and unhelpful ne'er-do-wells that usually plague gaming communities (or any other online community, for that matter).

I'm not sure you realize it yourself how awful this sentence is. Much of the sexism (and other -isms) that troubles our day-to-day lives, is often practised unknowingly by those who think they're propagating against it.
