Hey all i recently just installed patch 1.2 and the performance is really awesome. Unbelievable!. I'm using just only Core2 Duo @ 3.20GHz and i'm playing the game on Ultra settings with Ubersampling AND V-SYNC DISABLED at 1680x1050 resolution.

I'm using Geforce GTX560Ti Twin Frozr II by the way and the game IS really smooth with no lagginess/stuttering.

However, i noticed when turned on VSYNC the game performance will drop to water. Surprisingly with Anti-Aliasing enabled, the game is really smooth. Just VSYNC. The game is not a shooter hence there's no real impact on screen tearing but it still happens occasionally.

IF CDPR can fix VSYNC. That'll be great though.

Just woke up and read your post wrong. Editing it out since it didn't help at all.

tyrindor: I was just going to post and say you are lying, but decided to make sure and launch the game to test this theory before I did.

Ultra preset with Vsync enabled/disabled on my i7 920 at 4.4GHz and GTX 580 at 850/2100 results in the exact same FPS - unplayable about 22FPS average. Exact same as every single TW2 benchmark on the internet claims. 1920x1080 isn't a heck of a lot bigger than 1680x1050, and my computer is quite a bit faster than yours.. so it's really not an issue.

1) Vsync isn't doing this for me. Same FPS with it on/off with ubersampling on.
2) There's no way you are maxing this game with ubersampling at 1680x1050 on a 560Ti.

Are you really playing this game at ~20fps average just so you can have ubersampling on? Only way I see this possible is if you did the Ubersampling=1 tweak which does nothing. You need Ubersampling=2 for it to work.
I don't have to LIE to you. In Options i select Ultra followed by Vsync and Ubersampling OFF. The game IS really playable with no lag or jerkiness at all to me.
i believe he said in the first post that he disabled both ubersampling AND v-sync.
My bad I read your post wrong. I thought you were claiming it was playable with ubersampling ON.

Are you saying that with Ubersampling OFF, and Vsync ON you still suffer a massive FPS loss over Ubersampling OFF and Vsync OFF? That's not normal.. try the latest NVIDIA drivers if you aren't on them. Definitely not happening to me, and I'm using vsync too. Constant 60fps for me on Ultra with uber off and vsync on.

Actually, Vsync is known to cause issues with performance in some cases, so I'm not really surprised. Is tearing obvious if you're playing with it off?

Yes. Very much noticable. I tried it. At least with ati card.
And I think with patch 1.2 I don't see targeting cursor or enemy health. it's realistic but it must be some bug.

What card you are using? i have to turn OFF VSync to get smooth gameplay. It's big laggy with VSync on GTX560Ti though.

If they are able to fix Vsync i be happy. Can live without ubersampling :P.
with the vsync on, the latest patch 1.2 gave marked improvement. the fps is still 50-60 due to vsync, but thing just feel less sluggish.

try turning on triple buffering in the graphics card setting.
