Good. Because if I won't be able to get the retail version in Poland (which seem to have the best prices actually all across EU) I think about GoG version... Bad thing I stay in Warsaw just until Monday, not Tuesday, as there's really a lot of events in the city regarding TW2.

I'm afraid not. The current language versions are: text and full audio support: English, French, German. Text only: Italian, Spanish.

However, it has been announced that other languages will be provided as downloads after registration. At first (May 17th) this will be limited too the English and Polish audio.

This is all we know for sure and officially. However I would not be surprised if CDPR were to give us all languages as optional downloads in the future, since they have done so with The Witcher 1.

However, this is pure speculation at present.

To get access to the free DLC, autopatching and language packs you will have to register the game, presumably on the Witcher site.

Excellent! Though I do not understand Polish, I try to make it a priority to enjoy a game with the native vocals intended by the developers, complimented by the most authentic translation subtitles as possible. Many Japanese games have big differences in character vocals and intonation compared to their English dub, for instance. I hope The Witcher 2's subtitles will be authentic, uncensored, and close to the original.

I have donwloadad and installed GOG version, still I dont have an option to download and install Polish language. The only thing I have in "Downloadable Content" is English :/ which I already have.

It will be available later it seems.

Ya same here and I believed Vodoo that I wont have to wait for Polish language pack like I stated in previous posts but apperantly I have to...dissapointment :( cuz i could have bought this game from Empik(Polish online store) I probably would have to wait a little longer to get it but at least I could start the game in Polish eh.....

I'm sorry. Didn't know they'd mess up. If it's any consolation, I got a bit messed with too - I got the Polish limited CE, which was supposed to be active 24h before the rest of the world. At 23:58 they've told us they have technical issues. Each 0.5h they've kept reassuring us it's coming "soon". So I've waited.

At 7:00am I had to leave for my classes. I actually fell asleep on my Arabic class to the amusement of everyone and dissapprovement of the professor.

The game activated arround 10:00 am.

But don't worry, they'll do it. But if you can't wait, there's a second thread about it here, that gives you a method of getting it now. Not sure it's 100% kosher though.

Open regedit and search for "witcher" in HKEY_USERS, you should find a key like:

HKEY_USERS\xxxxxx\Software\CD Project RED\The Witcher 2

where xxxxx is something like "S-1-5-21 etc", very long and probably different on every machine.

In that key there are two string values, Language and Speech. Change them both to "PL", start the Witcher launcher, you should see all the texts in Polish. Click on "Dodatki do pobrania" and viola - Polish language pack will be there.

Apparently CD Project messed it up and made the wrong language packs available for wrong language versions...

Correction - it doesn't work, just downloads it over and over again.... I was so happy for a moment.

seems to work at first but it downloads and veryfies over and over again so I can't install it :(

Also... download speed is agonizingly slow :(
