I need to grow up? Everybody is entitled to their own opinions. Or at least should be, its not looking like it in this embarrassing thread. My argument is against the response the OP is getting. Not weather or not the nudity is tasteful or that mature games need nudity as you so humorously put it. Try reading the thread before hitting the reply button.

I'm fine with that, I'm not unconfortable with sex or nudity.
And just to be clear: I'm not even "excited" by these sex scenes. I just don't mind them and I'm fine with them.

they should just make it a full hardcore sex mini game during some sex scenes to make the whiny people not play it and mothers take away the game and punish the little kids trying to play it.

As for the scenes, or any in general, right click is king. Was a life saver when some to a horrible nosedive in FPS. I've got a game to play, not watch CGI stop motion. :P

To be honest, I'm more concerned with the state of TW2 world, CDP has to be commended time and time again for a believable world, shame it's a mirror image to our sick world :(

It could be intentional, or a joke from them, but the beauty of the visuals are starkly contrasted to the grim and horrible shit that gerault encounters.

It is a fantasy game, based off of novels. Sorry it detracts from the game experience for you but, it does not matter to me in the least. I think its cool that CDP allows you to skip over those scenes if you're offended by them.

I think that CDP deserves kudos for attempting to push boundaries of computer games in general. I am aware the prepubescent group will snort and laugh but, if they are underage then their parents should control the type of games they are allowed to play.

Remember you can skip almost everything sexually oriented in the game if you choose to. If you keep choosing to view it and then complain that it is childish, use thew ability to skip those scenes.

Since the alternatives you are looking for is to REMOVE it or, maker it more mature, please tell me what you mean by more mature.

The nudity/sex in the game isn't excessive/tasteless, IMHO. (that and you can skip them)

If any of you are watching the HBO series, 'Game of Thrones', then some of what's in that, I think, is a bit 'excessive' (just a bit lol).
I mean, it's one thing to show passion/sex (like the ones w/ Triss), and another to give plot/setting/character exposition during an erotic scene (like scenes w/ Theon and Littlefinger. And 'that' scene w/ Loras and Renly...IMHO, they should've saved that one for the next season; made girls fans of Loras first...then, BAM!). LOL. :D

I don't particularly have a problem with it. It is all part of Gerault's personna and what makes Gerault, Gerault. As has been stated, he is a womanizer and will take his women when ever he can. In TW1, you could avoid it easy enough. So far, I have only seen one scene and that was with Triss early on in the tent. I do not like Government Censorship as I feel it is about individual responsibility and by that I mean, research the content of whatever Game or movie you are buying. If you are not comfortable with the content, then don't buy it. Here is an example of things gone wrong. Tom likes Porn movies and watches them regularly. Joe doesn't and thinks they should be banned and not seen. He finds enough support and petitions the Government through his represenative to ban Porn movies and they do. Tom's and others like him have had their individual rights to watch these things, taken away by someone who didn't like them and who was never forced to buy or watch the things. That was one reason I got so mad when I found out the first one had been censored in the states. I do not like someone else telling me what I can watch , listen to, or play. I will make that choice myself. As to the topic, Tasteless? That is subjective, what is tasteless for one, isn't necessarily tasteless for another.

I agree with the OP. What we need is nude Geralt and maybe nude Zoltan (to make things interesting)

Until someone mods a nude Geralt and Zoltan, you'll just have to settle for awesome fan art.

While I understand you (the OP) are entitled to your own opinion on the matter I always found nudity and mature elements of Witcher 1/2 to be a part of the world.

Saying that those are tasteless and geared towards men, is your opinion. Given that Gerald is a man, it would certainly be logical to assume that nudity would be geared towards him ad that at the very least he would not pay attention to the things that do not interest him.

Furthermore, consider A Game of Thrones and its approach to sex, nudity and mature elements and do imagine just how "lesser" the story, the setting and the sub sequential message and its impact would be without it.

There is a place and a time for the discussed mature content and I believe it is well used in the Witcher Saga so far...
Playing the Witcher without it would be like reading/watching censored version of Game of Thrones… or Spartacus.

Yes, the sexual content is more geared towards men, but with Geralt as a main character, there isn't a lot to do about that. and aside from the first scene, all nudity (ok, the succubus is nude too but she just stands there) it's 100% optional and very easy to avoid.

I never got the whole 'there's nekkid women, so it's sexist!' line of argument. the naked human form can be very beautiful. arousing, too, but there's nothing wrong with that. You can't honestly tell me you wouldn't want some beefcake if the game was appropriate for it. (by having a female player character, or something) As long as the women aren't presented as JUST beautiful, as JUST sexual objects, it's fine.

My gf watches me play and loves the sex and nudity. What about all the women who watch True Blood etc? It's obvious the style of fantasy can and does appeal to gamers of both sexes. Some mightn't admit it however ;)

Duke Nukem, XXX BMX and pre GTA IV, that's different, but even then, those games know what they are, they are the 'Amercian Pie' of gaming. Not to really be taken seriously. I mean really, why do people think they have the right to never be offended? If it's not to your taste, don't buy, play or watch.

Seriously, they are just boobs. They don't bite, they don't swear and they don't harm you in any way. And let me tell you something, there's some weird shit with people who can't stand sex but are totally fine with murdering.
