I like it much to play Video / Computergames even thought I am horrible bad at this.
Most of my Games I never have completed (may up to 500+ now. btw. the first games I ever played was the "brand new" arcade version of spaceinvaders, wich was installed in the pub next door).
Most of them I was unable to complete even with the best cheats / trainer / walkthroughs availible. (like Mechwarrier 2, I never was able to complete the last jump. it was a mission in space and the final part was to jump from the enemy landing ship to your landship. I allways endet up in space drifting to the outer regions... but my friends allways claimed that it was one of the easiest parts in the game)

One thing I liked much at Witcher 1 was that you was able to suspend the game any time with the space key. (and be still able to do certain action. one of the things I like in fallout, too. but there is the fighting round based, so I can take my time).
I am way too slow for action games, and if I am stressed I usually mix up keys, buttons, etc. so that I allways do the wrong action.

In Witcher 1 I started the game "over shoulder" but realised that it is more comfortable to play in (far) iso. even if the "intelligent automatic camera control" had needed a lot improovements to call it "intelligent". Especially sometimes when the camera had hit a wall and mad a really close up to the charakter. Sometimes I had trouble because of the bad targeting system, in some cases I needed 5 or 6 tries with different angles to hit the right spot. In close up situation, sometimes only the wasd keys helped me to get past an object.

The targetting system had inproved a little in W2, but had lost this because of the drastic increased amount of objects. while escaping out of prison I was sneaking through the rooms turning all lights of. So I waited at one spot for a guardian, after darkening the room, and hiding at a wall, ready to attac. but instead of attacing, as the guard walked by, I was only turning the light on and off. after the 5th time I realised that, and moved .. and finally attacked him. but this is a pain in the ass.

I also have bad luck in W1 I had in average to reload 20 times to win a dice poker game.

The inventory however was much to small. and had a funny behave (since weapons could only be stored in the "body slots". Somehow its realistic, but not practical.
This has improved a lot in witcher 2, but somehow the inventory is confused.

It seems that the engine isnt very optimised nor know their own requirements. If I run the autosetup it sets the quality to low. however, if I set it higher (in my ususal setting) it is slow, but after disabling my 2nd monitor, sterioscopic view, aero, (and a few little other things) Its running well on a setting wich is allmost like the high setting. You don't have bad luck, there was a trick to winning more often. The point is that you have to go for a higher hand all the time.

For example, if you have two pairs, don't just roll the remaining fifth one and hope you get a match, you have to take a risk and pick one pair - roll the other three :)

The game was set-up that way it would seem.

This is bad luck, I tried it, too.
Example of what usually happens:
I roll a pair (seldom get something better as a pair) of 3, he rolls at least a pair of 5...
If I roll a pair of 6, he got 3 or 4 of a kind.

Out of twenty rounds (not games) I have a chance of winning in 2 or 3 rounds (from the beginning) . I mean if I start with a pair and he has 4 of a kind or a high strait (6,5,4,3,2) its almost impossible to win.

Another example what happens often: I roll 2 Pairs (e.g.: 3 and 5) and he one (e.g.: 4). I can count on it, that if I (even if I try it every time) reroll everything except the pair of 5 I got nothing and end the round with a pair of 5. while he gets one or two 4 or even more worse three of a kind with 6 eyes ( so he end the game with a full house)

If i have a full house he gets 4 of a kind (or at least a better full house). If a have a strait, he gets a high strait, or 5 of a kind.

One game took almost 2 hours (with reloading) untill i had won it. ....

Well I have to say once I had a streak of luck and won 3 games in a row.
