Just started this game up on high settings, getting about 50-60FPS, and there is an extreme problem with the camera movement. In games like DAO, Witcher 1 and BC 2; the mouse movement is smooth. But in this game and Crysis 2, i've noticed a stutter that happens when moving the mouse. Basically, i can't move my mouse slightly without it skipping pixels. This results in overall stuttery camera movement when it is supposed to be smooth at 60 FPS.

Is there any way i can make the mouse movement smooth? I've tried editing the smoothness in the ini to 0, but that didn't work.

Extreme appreciation will ensue if someone can help me solve this problem.
These are my mouse settings in the user.ini file

[MouseInput]
KeyboardCooldownSpeed=0.1
MouseDampX=7000
MouseDampY=7000
MouseSensitivityX=0.423077
MouseSensitivityY=0.264423
MouseSmoothness=1
SensitivityX=0.5
SensitivityY=0.5
Smoothness=1
UseMouseDamp=false

UseMouseDamp=false
I lowered the sensitivity a hell of a lot, and that seems to have helped a bit, but it's still no where near as smooth as TW1, despite it being at 60 FPS. I can only conclude that there is something wrong with my mouse settings, as when i strafe left to right, everything is as smooth as butter.
Is yours a usb or wireless ?
I`ve heard of users with wireless having some mouse issues .

It's wireless, i'll see how my wired mouse fairs.

Also, is it just my settings, or do objects pop in like crazy in this game? I have to be about 20 metres away from something before it pops up. Is there a settings i can tweak to stop this?
Change the mouse smoothness value and check hows the mouse behavior in the menus.

[MouseInput]
Smoothness=0

I believe it`s the LOD distance in the configurator .

mouse is really slow in the menus, but smooth.

And no matter what i do there are still prominent pop ins, even on the highest settings minus Ubersampling. Did anyone else experience this with the game?

Unless you've set the LOD settings very low, you might be suffering from the bug discussed in the following threads: Link 1 Link 2. Visit either of those to join our slowly-growing club, if that's the case. :)

Well that is fucking terrific. I'm suffering from an extremely rare bug, that most likely wont get fixed soon. I cannot believe my luck.

It is so annoying seeing these things pop in and out, looks like i'll be putting down the game until a fix comes out.

I'm sorry you feel it's ruining your game. I've lived with for I don't know how many playthroughs, and it hasn't been bothering me much. The good news is that it is at least known by CDPR, at this point, but yeah, we don't know how long it will take to get fixed.

Oh wait, i manually changed the meshdistancescale in the .ini to 4.6. Have you tried that? I have no more texture pop ins, but shadows still pop in.

Meshdistancescale to 4.6!.. (cough cough)..works damn good in chapter 1, but when chapter 2 starts up (with the fog) the game will CRAWL.

Yeah, I've gone as high as 10.0, actually. The actual textures don't pop in, even at the default 1.0, but the high quality ones (including animations on foliage) are still basically at Geralt's feet. If shadows change or pop in very close to Geralt, even for you, it means you have the bug described in those two topics I linked to, I think.

Try adding another parameter below 'meshdistanscale'.

FoliageDistanceScale=2.8 (lower it if the performance is low..)
