It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

What I did was instead of modding the oils and potions themselves I changed the alchemistry skills that increase 10% and 40% to increase 100% and 200%.
That way I had to actually buy the increases using points.

Felt less 'cheaty' to my mind.
Can you upload them to more popular sites like mediafire? or megaupload? I can't access filesmelt D: or those links are down. I wanted that 30m potion one.

Its a pack file with crafting fee, oils and potions, so just use the xml that applies...
(The file contains the 30m versions for potions (except cat potion) and oils)

I am gonna make a pack for all the mods i made at some point, but not right now ;)

If filesmelt doesn't work for you thats very weird though.

AlaCarcuss: Hmm, not working for me.

I'm having the same problem as SlackerSupreme, only I've tried everything and it still doesn't work. I've tried all the files linked in the first post and save them directly to CockedPC\items. In the case of the 30min one, I of course had to rename the Items.zip to def_stats_item_potion.xml (not sure why it's a fake zip file?).

eRe4s3r: Ohhh..

Well, its not a fake zip file, UNPACK IT and copy the contents where the 1st post says ;) Since the 30m version of the mod is for potions and oils it naturally is 2 files, and had to pack those ;p

So Download the zip
unzip it somewhere of your choice
copy the 2 xml files to the location in cookedpc\Items and it'll work..
Ok, I finally got it working. For some strange reason, every time I did a "Save target as", my archivers all told me the resulting items.zip file was invalid. Which is why I though it was a 'fake' zip.

The only way I could successfully download it was by left clicking the link, which took me to the http://filesmelt.com page and left click on the items.zip link there and let firefox offer to save the file. Then I ended up with a valid zip file and was able to extract it to my CockedPC/Items folder.

Also, this method only worked in firefox, if I tried it with IE or Chrome, I got an invalid zip every time. Weird.

Mystery indeed, but you can also download from mediafire now /post above\

For my next mods i am going to do this a bit differently and offer 2 mirrors - no idea why some people have issues with filesmelt but its good to be told (as i have no issues, so far i always thought there are none)

Usually i would attach such small files to the forum posts themselves and only offer bigger mods on filesmelt or mediafire. Anyhow, glad you got it working, and thanks for telling me this ,)
Just want to say thanks for this mod. I hate the idea of having to randomly guess when you need to drink potions. It's almost impossible to "plan ahead" because you can't even meditate in certain areas and potions also run out during cutscenes.

I originally used the 60 minute version but I switched to the 30 min version and it feels more balanced.

Thanks again.

ooo! Thank you!! :D
So while at it, i linked the mediafire download on the first post

now you can grab the mod pack (oils/potions/crafting) from mediafire
Or just the oils and potions

Always with 30m each, and without cat.

Did the same for all my other mod posts ;)
Hi,
Since this mod seems to be about "playng through cutscenes without wasting potion duration", wouldn't it be possible to make a mod that would pause the potion timer during cutsences, dialogues, etc, the way it pauses when you open the inventory?

I've already posted a simialr request on another thread: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/mod_requests/post57

No, I'm not being an awful purist troll, I just think the game is playable the way it is, mostly.
I like this mod but I changed it to 60m because I don't want 30 minutes. Thanks
Request: Places of power should also give longer bonuses.

I wonder why the developers didn't notice this: The first sign of power can be found near the siege tower in the prologue. It gives Geralt higher regeneration rate. The "funny" thing is that it workd for 5 minutes, which is more or less the time you need until you arive at the wall.

When I stormed out that siege tower and engaged my first enemy, in that moment, the power stopped. XD I facepalmed myself, then went on. :D
Yeah, that was an odd one, but i think they are fairly well balanced... maybe i find where the values are though... a +5m boost would be sufficient i'd think...
Eh..wrong thread.
