My machine is not a beast and I'm struggling to play the game at a decent rate without losing too much detail.
I'll play this game in Linux if I can, but having the option to play it in Windows, I was wondering if the performance of the Linux version is on par with the Windows one. I have painfully learnt that this is often not the case, be it for performance, bugs or outdated versions.
As an unrelated question I'd like to ask for a recommendation. Does the story changes much if I play a savegame from the first Witcher? Are those changes worth the effort of playing Witcher 1 again if one lost his savegames?
