In principle I do agree with what you say, but attitude like his carries some serious problems with it...
One is a sense of entitlement, two is an expectation and three is the ownership of the fault.
Let's look at them in some detail:

One, squeaky wheel mentality, sure, it can be useful, sure I have used it before myself when dealing with people whom over and over again and again demonstrated to me that they have no interest in dealing with my issue or assisting in resolution of this matter. That is not the case here, it is quite clear that both GOG people and CDPR people have gotten involved in the process and while he may be jaded for life (in which case I feel sorry for him) I believe that the proper attitude should be, fool me once, shame on you, fool my twice shame on me… and in my opinion CDPR have not fooled anyone as of yet (they are honest about what they do, how they do it and what they trying to deliver and most of all acknowledge their shortcomings).

Two, seriously... 24 hours after release of major patch from minor developer and expectancy of instant results is just not realistic. Patches (if this is what you call EE) sometimes have bugs in them, and those bugs get fixed, sometimes it takes time (it took two weeks for Bethesda to fix dragons flying backwards in Skyrim). CDPR has nowhere near the resource and as an informed customer one should know that buying a game from a smaller developer has both positives and negatives.

Three, every single person who complains (loudly) about problem with third party software always assumes it is that software that is causing problems. Sure sometimes it is but as an IT professional with considerable experience I can tell you that in vast number of cases this usually is a PICNIC (Problem In Chair Not In Computer). Now unless he can say with 100% assurance that this is nothing to do with his hardware, his setup, other applications he is running he should never forget to treat others with same level of respect as he expects to be treated with.

Another post to thank CD Projekt and GOG for doing what NO OTHER publisher would think of doing - releasing new content for a game already over a year old and having charged nothing so far for the added content that other publishers wouldn't mind charging a few dollars for.

The game seems to run smoother now (large textures, ubersampling off) on GTX 460 SLI in 3D vision.

Kudos and bravo!

I knew the game was 3D compatible... Does it make a lot of difference playing it in that format?

Just to be clear, I am talking about the patch 2.1 problem, not any of the new bugs that have come with the Enhanced Edition. And the 2.1 problem has been known to exist for several months now. It's just that I rolled back to 2.0 when the problem occured since 2.1 didn't change anything I needed. But I went with a fresh download for the enhanced edition instead of patching, and I no longer have the install files for 2.0

Second, it's not entitlement when someone pays money for something and it doesn't work at all.

And about your third point, I have not added any third party software to my computer since 2.1 or the Enhanced Edition. The third party programs I have now are the same ones I had back on release day last year. None of them caused a problem back then. I also have not used any mods. Therefore, saying that the problem is "in the chair of the user" is very presumptive of you. If a third party program is causing the problems, then the only chair the problem lies in is the chair of the person who wrote the third party program, not the user.

But he is talking about EE and I am talking about his attitude not yours...
And I was commenting on your observation in him being down rated, nothing else.
In the end, quite clearly, you, unlike him, have demonstrated ability to reason and respond well, in short, if he chose to demonstrate your approach to things I believe he would not be down rated.

Past that I do not have sufficient details, nor am I willing to comment on the issue you are experiencing.
I have not experienced any issues where Witcher 2 is concerned, but then again I did everything manually and generally not on a day one and certainly after reading the read me file and applying common sense (please do not assume I am accusing you of not doing that)

Fair enough. Sometimes on forums where people are quoting other posters all the time, it's hard to tell if someone is speaking to me, or to the person I quoted. And when I think someone is replying to me, I want to make sure that person accurately understands my situation or what it is I am trying to say. Plus, I tend to speak rather bluntly in general. It's one of the reasons I don't go on forums much.

No offense taken on my part, I hope nothing I wrote offended either, since I didn't intend to. And I realize I should not have added my own fuel to the fire he started in a thread that wasn't about technical issues. I felt that adding my own comment would help to make sure CDP realizes that despite posting a thread on The Witcher website about how to fix 2.1, the problem still exists and, therefore, is not a closed issue and needs people to continue working on it.

And now, I must force myself to sleep even though I am not tired. I wish I could get reliably tired at night like when I was a kid. Just one of the downsides of being an adult I guess.

Thank you CD PROJEKT for The Witcher series. You are true artists and loved by the fans. Your generosity and commitment to quality is truly admirable. Alongside the Stalker series my favourite games! I love GOG.com too!
