Read somewhere that the GOG version loads alot quicker, IE doesnt take ages from hitting play game on the launcher to get to the main menu of the game like it does in retail.

Is this true?

u would have to be mentally crippled to buy it anywhere else unless u wanted the extra art goodies u get in deluxe edition
I got all the arty goodys as well in the box :S

That's not true in the future the boxed edition will be much more valuable on Antique Roadshow!!
id have to assume yes because GOG is owned either completely or partially by the same company that created the game
If you bought the normal, boxed edition I recommend using Witcher2.exe from GoG's edition.

It fixes the performance problems created by the joke known as SecuROM.

I am not sure about loading times, but the GOG edition is the only one with no DRM, so that may make a difference..
