This may sound crazy as he hasn't been in action type movies yet, but I have often though Bradley Cooper bears a pretty good resemblance to Geralt in TW2.
I'd like to see Daniel Day-Lewis get a role in this, but with him, it's a big part or none at all. Leo Bonhart, if the scope of the movie includes him. Even as Geralt; Geralt needs depth, penetrating eyes, and a lanky body type.
Keira Knightley for Saskia
In an instant. And don't digitally enhance her boobs this time :)
What really stops Daniel Day-Lewis from accepting a tole is whether or not he can live it. He will spend a year or to living the lifestyle of the character as his acting method. This, unfortunately, is why he turned down the role of Aragorn for LotR. He would have been AWESOME in that movie IMO.

When he stays in character on set, as part of his method, he can be most disconcerting. The crew who had to handle him in his wheelchair in My Left Foot will attest to that.

Having him pack two swords and a satchel of fermenting monster guts, offering to fight all the men and shag all the women, yeah, he'd be a lot of fun on set :)

You all are making me giggle--

Good choice Vin Diesel as Letho is a fine idea, I'd like to see that actually.
But i see Daniel Craig as our Geralt- only based on body type and his ability to move quickly, and strange eyes already.
Angelina as Phillipa giggles and perfect
Sis said Jack Black as Zoltan -- giggles
Dandelion would have to be Christopher Gorham- might be a stretch, but he would have fun doing it.

All of the above is obviously just musing and silliness.
YES to Angelina and Keira, but I don't see any actor even remotely resembling Geralt. Without his voice, he's not complete anyways. Alas, Doug Cockle doesn't have the looks. Hm, in the end, Tom Gop should have a little plastic surgery for the nose and be dubbed by Doug, lol. He wouldn't need two more years to be in character in any case.
Who's for Heather Graham for Triss?
And Johnny Depp as Cedric? :))
And which raven haired beauty might be Yennefer...? Julia Ormond too old by now?

I could see Depp as Dandelion.

Could go Rhona Mitra or Kate Beckinsale for Yennefer. Possibly even an up-and-coming British actress, her name escapes me atm but she had a break out role in 'The Pillars of the Earth" and is the love interest in Captain America.
@Cjrgreen and Verican: In my opinion, Daniel Day-Lewis is a little bit too old to play Geralt. I always pictured him as a rugged but not too tall 30-ish looking. DDL has a strong presence, but I am leaning more towards cooper's choice. Craig's Bond reminds me a lot of Geralt - he tends to be ironic and reserved, yet he would do anything to save his loved ones and is too emphatic for his own good.

@AundreyWinter: Heather Graham might be too old, so I will go with either Emma Stone or Eva Green for Triss. The first fit the Triss from the game more while the later is how I pictured Triss from the books.

@Verican: You are right, Depp is even a better idea for Dandelion than JGL. Kate Beckinsale as Yennefer - I am in!

By the way, are we suggesting roles only for those characters that appeared in the games, or for those who belong to lore/canon/books too?

Agreed with Johnny Depp as Dandelion; he's got the pipes for it, too.

That's Hayley Atwell you're thinking of; RRROOOAAARRROOOAAARRR!

Geralt's old enough that he's pushing the Badass Grandpa trope, and you want an actor who can practically carry the role with his eyes. Daniel Craig certainly fills the bill on both counts.

Ugh! Have you SEEN the guy? What's wrong with Michal Zebrowski anyway? At least he's played Geralt before. Though I preferred the kid Geralt, that one was cute.
But I'm getting old, my favorite actors are too old for the oooold witcher characters. :(

I still think of Geralt as having been at his trade too long and survived too much. He's not a fresh-faced kid; he's earned every one of his numerous scars several times over, and it's affected how he sees the world too. He's not unlike Daniel Craig's Bond in this, even if Daniel Craig looks too English. He's also not unlike Natty Bumppo in Last of the Mohicans, whom Daniel Day-Lewis played very well.

I absolutely agree, while the existing movie/tv series leave a lot to desire...
The casting has been very good, especially for Geralt, Dandelion, Renfri and Ciri...

With such a deep lore behind it, I really think that a movie would require completely new actors rather than just copy-pasting the cast from other movies. There's a point where someone is so well-known that it's hard to separate that recognition from what you're watching. That being said, I do think that Eva Green would make an amazing Yennefer. That picture I linked to right there is pretty much what I imagine Yennefer looking like.

Still, a Witcher movie with a bunch of unknowns could be amazing. If they had open auditions and someone with an understanding and respect of the source material wrote the script, it could end up being the LotR of this decade.
Or you could end up with Transformers 4 :)
I think that if this should ever be made (and I think the Saga deserves a series, a movie is too small a medium to tell so much story) they should cast more character actors and less "movie stars"... Eva Green could be a good Yennefer no doubt, also Claudia Black (she's only 39, after all, with some good make up she'd be great... lol).

Who would want to see Lady Hellen Mirren as Geralt's long lost mamma? That part of the Polish series was the best... they nailed it there; how Geralt lost/ got stolen his sense of family by the dreaded "gift of Surprise" and by the same "gift" he re-gained some of it, through Ciri...
