alright.. why is the text in the map in some "polish" letters something something... whats the purpose of a world map if you cant read the bloody letters! how do i get english letters! please help!!!

We, Poles, use the standard Latin alphabet with aditional diacritic signs like: ł, ó, ę, ą, ż, ź, ś, ć.

The script used is the Glagolitic alphabet, you can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glagolitic_alphabet

In short it's the oldest alphabet used by Slavic nations, invented around 862 AD, mainly in Croatia and disappeared around the Middle Ages except for religious use.

The design choice to use such an obscure alphabet was to add a feeling of authenticity to the map, it's also the script you find all arround the game. If you wish to see it with the Latin alphabet, it's available as a downloadable goodie in the gog version, or added to your box in retail.

Yeah it is the same as on RPS, Jim Rossignol complained about a map using glagolitic alphabet, probably never realizing that wonderful map with english alphabet is attached to every copy of the game, digital or retail.
