Any chance we'll see the first one on GOG anytime soon?

That'd be neat.

I want to buy 2, knowing that I'm supporting DRM-free gaming but I want to make sure the series is my cup-o-tea.

Would either guess by end of the month for Baldur's Gate cousin, child and sibling are done now (at least I think) or after holiday season.
Try the demo.

It's $20 everywhere else..not sure if they're ready to drop it yet. Could be before TW2 is released or after. Either could work business-wise.

Why I think it might release after holiday season, one last "sale" for online distributor before it go down to 9.99. Because a 20$ 50% sale, sell better then a 9.99 regular price for some reason. =p

If you buy the first game now, all you gotta do is download the newest patch and it'll take off the DRM that's attached to the game.

I already got the first game. Now I just need to find some frickin time to play it!

the demo doesnt make one buy the game i think, after playing the demo and thinking "yeah ok" i had one of the best rpg experiences with the witcher, i recommend the game to just about everybody that likes rpg or a good story

just go and buy it and be sure to play the enhanced version (either you already buy enhanced, or you patch the old version for free)
Well after reading a couple of reviews that pointed out a few issues, then finding out that those are solved mostly by the Enhanced Edition I went ahead and grabbed it via Steam last night.

I'll start tonight after work I think.

Thanks all!
