Hello, how do I open the chest in the cellar after killing gargolyes at the beginnigng of CH3?

There's three different locations with the chest, so an exact answer is impossible. In general however, they all work the same way, click the correct combination of the runes in walls and on the floor and the chest will open. The rooms all have a scroll with hints of the correct combination, although it's far from clear hint even after finding the correct combination.

It's also possible that they can only be opened after starting the quest for killing those gargoyles.

You don't need the Gargoyle Contract quest though it can be found in the market area on the board. As for the symbols, you have to extinguish them in the correct order. There's a scroll that tells you the 3 you need to extinguish, followed by the remaining one. The one mage in the market who crafts weapons/armor sells several books that explain things a bit more (from what I've read), personally I just used Google and saved my orens.

There are also books you can buy from one of the merchants that are suppose to help, though I didn't find them helpful myself.

i only used the books for the third chest the other two i randomly gessed on my first go lol. books explain stuff like sky symbol is like a open hourglass so then you have to read the scripts and figure out what they mean one i was stuck on when sumit like sumthing, clouds are like bees,and the bells ring....so its was time symbol,sky symbol, animal symbol sumit like that

1- On the wall left to the entrance
2- On the floor left
3- on the floor near the chest
4- right side of the entrance

Amphitheatre

1- On the floor to the left of the entrance
2- On the floor to the right
3- on the wall to the left
4- on the wall to the right

For the room right of the main city gate

1- on the floor to the left
2- on the wall to the right
3- floor to the right
4- wall to the left

well thats handy ill use that when i get to chapter 3 on my current playthrough should save me a couple of orens. also rembering to save all those ingredents that i sold in chapter 2 and found i needed at the end
