I have installed and registered but im not getting any patches and cant see away of getting it ??.

I have bought Witcher 2 from GOG yesterday. In an earlier post, you said that the game is patched automatically after the installation. But, when I look at file version of witcher2.exe, it says 1.0.6041.43456. I thought that it would be 1.2 or something like that. Is that normal ?

Once bought from gog you have to get the 1.1 patch (in your gog account, it's the last file when you scroll down).

Once updated with 1.1, the game will auto update to 1.2.

I downloaded the game on day one, and the file version on my witcher2.exe says 1.1.6157.43917, so I assume I"m patched up to 1.1, but it won't auto-update to 1.2 and when I* try to run the manual update it shuts down, saying the game version is invalid/incomplete.

For the hell of it, I tried running the 1.1 patch download from the list of Witcher 2 downloads, and that gives me a 'failed applying patch to blah blah blah" message.

If you have Options instead of 'Display and Language settings" then you have 1.2. Also you can verify with clicking View Readme FIle.

Registering is borked right now. All the available DLC is included in 1.2 patch. You aren't losing out on anything not being registered.
As above, download 1.1 and install it. 1.2 patch then should automatically be updated.
