I have the same problems, guess the patch broke something. I am still trying their solutions for this.
Bump - same issue and quite furstrated.. unfortunate since I had ZERO problems prior to the patch - is there any way to revert to 1.0 without downloding the entire installation file from the GOG downloader, or is that now impossible because 1.1 is applied automatically?

I would think this would be fixable via a simple .ini tweak, but I'm not sure - it seems like the Input_QWERTY.ini (located in C:\Program Files\GOG.com\The Witcher 2\bin\config) contains all the gamepad bindings.

Perhaps we can figure it out if we apply ourselves.. I really don't want to have to wait for another patch to fix this, admittedly, minor issue, but an issue that will nonetheless prevent me from continuing my playthrough until it is fixed.

My gamepad doesn't work at all after the patch. The game starts with keyboard and doesn't recognize any other input method to switch to. The gamepad is fine still, works with Xpadder (which I'll try as replacement here), but TW2 1.1 just doesn't want to talk to it.

Had same problem. After patching you have to use mouse to change control options setting to gamepad. And in user.ini it should have an entry:

[Gameplay]
HardQte=1
UsePad=1

You could try editing user.ini first to make sure it takes??

The "patch" overrides all your old settings. Including performance settings. This is probably why some(not all) have fps issues because it might enable options you had disabled before under video and languages which is now simply options.

Same issue as all !!! I like how they said they carefully tested each patch....

Exactly why I posted this before:

We finally released patched 1.1. We are very sorry for the delays, but as you can see there are many versions of the game and we had to test each very carefully without using a gamepad. Fixed /sarcasm

Yeah, was just coming back to report it works now. I had played around in the ini and noticed the UsePad setting, flipped that since the in-game menu wouldn't click or arrow over to pad.

Now I'm up to the d-pad issue everyone else has, but that seems positively benign after no control.
Yeah I can confirm, I have wireless x360 controller for windows.

Before patch, everything worked normally, except in some of the menus (mutagen selection..) the sensitivity was extremely high, but I could have lived with that (though it would be nice to see fixed).

Now after patch though, analog stick does not work at all.

Here is hoping for a quick patch even before 1.2.
ruined my fucking game.

cant play the game at all now. impossible to use a mouse and keyboard whilst lying on your side in a bed which i have to do.
I have experienced the same issue but is it that much of a problem jut to use the dpad in menus? I figured it was intentional.

Or are we saying that the right stick doesn't work for scrolling lists on the right hand side of the screen any more? I'm sure I didn't notice this..

That is the main problem with v1.1!!! :(

In my opinion broken right analog stick (thumbstick) functionality (scrolling in journal e.t.c.) is much more annoying / frustrating / gamebraking than (some oversensitivity in some areas like character attributes screen)! :S

Is this such a massive problem having to use the D pad in the menu and inventory screens. I fail to see what the big problem is.

People do like to get on their high horses for the most ridiculous reasons.

And for people saying they cant use their game pads at all. The patch just reset control method to keyboard, u just need to switch it back to game pad.

Have you played v1.1 with gamepad?

LS and D-Pad is not the main problem... RS is the major problem (i could even call it gamegreaking)... everyone who plays with gamepad only (away from keyeboard and mouse is pretty much screwed)... just so you know journal is integral part of an RPG (and if you are not able to read it...)!

And reasons for annoyance and frustration (moaning e.t.c.) are not so ridiculous if you consider that gamepad functionality worked pretty fine ~99% (except some places) in v1.0!

Just for the lulz try reading some journal entries... the longer ones with scrolling ;) !!!
(using only gamepad without keyboard or mouse assistance)
